'Eddie Trunk's Essential Hard Rock And Heavy Metal' Book: More Details Revealed - Mar. 15, 2011
Abrams has set an April 1, 2011 release date for "Eddie Trunk's Essential Hard Rock And Heavy Metal", a new 240-page book from Eddie Trunk, the host of VH1 Classic's hit television program "That Metal Show". Featuring a foreword by JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford, the book covers Trunk's favorite bands with a brief overview of their career highlights, the albums and songs that Eddie considers important and why, and many personal recollections of his experiences with these bands over the course of his career.
Included in the book are Trunk's accounts of the following:
* The night GUNS N' ROSES frontman, Axl Rose, walked onto Eddie's radio show for his first public interview in 13 years
* What happened when JUDAS PRIEST played a private show for Eddie at his 25th anniversary in radio at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square
* How Eddie convinced TWISTED SISTER to get back together in 2001
* What it was like to get on stage with Ozzy Osbourne during his infamous tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE in 1984
* Eddie's longtime relationship with his close friend the late, great Ronnie James Dio
* Sharing cucumber sandwiches with Robert Plant in England
* Being one of the very first to play METALLICA on the radio in 1983 and being flown by the band to their induction ceremony at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
* Drunken nights and Mongolian barbeque with CHEAP TRICK
* Interviewing famous recluse drummer Neil Peart from RUSH
* Mediating a fight between Bret Michaels and his band POISON on air for VH1 Classic

You could keep Metal going with the same momentum it used to have singlehandedly if you chose to do so. BTW 'angel down' kicks 'subhuman race' in the ass & u are the only person who won't admit it. I love you as a buddy but it's time to get over 1991. The last sentence "it's time to get the band back together" is just painful, it's so far from any sense of reality. #justsayin

Say what you will about Baz but I like that he keeps pushing himself to do better.
He's always saying he wants to make new rock, and make solo rock that outrocks his older stuff.
It would be so easy for him to embrace the past, not bother to create stuff. and just live off that but I like that he's pushing forward.
I personally think Angel Down was his best since Skid Rows self titled album...so i'm right there supporting him.

I think it's great to have Eddie have the balls to say that to Baz. If only with Axl, but I think that they've touched on that several times, promoting old GN'R, while showing love to new GN'R, because they're pretty tight with Axl, Slash, Duff & Steven (and I want to say Matt's been on the radio show), yet they've also associated with Ron alot.
As for Skid Row, Angel is better than Subhuman Race, but not by vast amounts. Angel however is Appetite For Fucking Destruction compared to the literal drink coasters that are Skid Row post-Bach. Sabo & Bolan can't write for shit anymore. They blew their load on Skid '88 & Slave and that's that.
If people love Skid Row, and want to hear Skid Row - go see Bach solo. It's the closest in reality to Skid Row that exists in 2011, or 2006 for that matter, FAR more than the actual Skid Row.
Baz just needs to stick to what he's doing and let Skid Row stay buried.
