The restraining order was filed March 1 after Sheen's estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, requested it, alleging that he had threatened to kill her.

I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom," Mueller claims that Sheen told her late last month.

The restraining order states Sheen cannot possess, have, buy or try to buy, receive or try to receive, or in any other way get guns, other firearms or ammunition.

So they're worried he's going to cut her head off with a gun? 16

I guess they are covering all the tracks, but I don't buy that as the reason they went in. They needed an excuse.

I agree. He said LAPD were total professionals and they said the same of him, but yeah I don't think Brooke sent them in there for guns. They were snooping to find a bag of "Charlie Sheen".

I could use one of those right now... 11 19

The reason I posted that is it creates an interesting debate on a couple fronts, and not necessarily the obvious. Here you have Feldman, a former heroin addict, slamming Charlie Sheen for his behavior. Now Sheen has taken an approach of 'embracing' his addictions in an effort to combat judgment, he's just giving up - which like others have said is classic addict behavior.

Yet a former addict sees it as reckless and not something to be proud of. Now we've heard alot of comments from psych & addiction doctors about Sheen's behavior, but this was interesting to me because this is a junkie vs. a coke head.

-------------------------------

Now as for the Haim thing, obviously Charlie Sheen has been a more successful actor and brand name for movies, whether theatrical, direct-to-video, or doing TV shows. Yes, with the great film "Lucas", Haim was the star with Charlie supporting him, despite Haim being younger and not coming from the Sheen/Estevez family. And yes Haim had some significant hits and/or cult hits in the 80's, up through the early 90's. But Sheen was already doing Haim-stature films in the 80's in-between his theatrical stuff (I love the Sheen film The Wraith, which was low-status, just like I love Watchers, a low-status Haim horror film during that time). Haim then got relegated to doing cable/DTV, low-budget films by the early 90's, while Sheen was still doing theaterical work. After films like Fast Getaway II, Haim's career flatlined. Although he was still working, he was never in a film again that really had any kind of significant effort put into it, the films were just near-porno budget, other than maybe the godawful Crank 2. Sheen was doing action films like No Code of Conduct, while Haim was doing Demolition High. There just was no comparison.

And of course Two and a Half Men trumps all. That's probably the most financially lucrative thing Sheen has done.

Haim should've been honored at both SAG & the Oscars. Period. It was in absolutely poor taste that he wasn't, especially considering he died from pneumonia at 38.

But if Sheen od's, i'm sure he'll get all kinds of memorials, for being fucking stupid.

Still, with that said - Feldman should not let his appreciation for Haim and his memory cloud truth. Haim was better than he got credit for, but Sheen is a superstar compared to him.

True but "Lost Boys" is greater than everything Sheen has done imo. I am a huge Sheen fan but I agree with Feldman that its a complete fucking shame Haim didn't get recognized.

Whew, that's a tough one. Lost Boys is an amazing film, that I just re-watched the other day and am still stunned how well it holds up in 2011. And still, Haim & Feldman are the standout characters in the film.

Haim had alot of really good films, but Sheen is no hack. That run from about 1985-1992, both of them had alot of good films, and in all reality, other than Two and a Half Men, Charlie might've been doing more films than Haim mid-to-late 90's, but it was simply quantity over quality. Their films 1995-2000 or so equally sucked.

I always thought Platoon was overrated, and I certaintly don't think it guarantees a win over a film like Lost Boys. I will confess thought that Lost Boys is about the only Haim film you could put up against Platoon. I just always thought Full Metal Jacket was better than Platoon.

Personally my favorite Charlie Sheen film was Major League, and even that was more of a Tom Berenger film. It's weird like that with me, that alot of my favorite Sheen films, he was more of a co-star to a lead - Red Dawn (Patrick Swayze), Lucas (Corey Haim), Platoon (Tom Berenger & Willem Dafoe), Wall Street (Michael Douglas), Young Guns (Emilio Estevez & Kiefer Sutherland), Major League (Tom Berenger), Navy SEALS (Michael Biehn), The Rookie (Clint Eastwood)...

Just for example. The Wraith & Beyond The Law were the only Sheen films I really liked where he was the sole lead.
