Re: Lemmy
He deserves his own thread. And took number one on the billboard for his documentary.
’m not sure who wants to be the one to tell him, but Motorhead’s Lemmy is hot these days.
The documentary film, “Lemmy: 49% Motherf**ker, 51% Son Of A Bitch”, sold around 3,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut in the #1 spot on Billboard’s “Top Music Videos” chart.
In addition, both the DVD and Blu-ray disc were among the top 10 best-selling documentaries on Amazon.com.
The New York City theatrical release was also extended into its sixth straight week due to popular demand.
Fans and critics alike are devouring the DVD and Blu-ray extras, which stretch to a staggering 4.5 hours of bonus content. Leading the list of extras is Lemmy and Metallica’s full intimate backstage rehearsal and riveting performance of the Motorhead classics “Damage Case” and “Too Late Too Late” — all in 5.1 Surround Sound (only “Damage Case” appears in the film).
Also included is 40 minutes of live Motorhead, interview outtakes, extended and deleted scenes, Lemmy’s full, uncut conversations with Dave Grohl and Billy Bob Thornton, featurettes on Lemmy’s longtime Motorhead bandmates Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee, a special featurette on Lemmy’s 50th birthday featuring never-before-released footage of Metallica dressed as Kilmister and performing as “The Lemmys,” and much, much more.
Filmed over the course of three years by directors/producers Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski, “Lemmy” made its world premiere at the 2010 South By Southwest Film and Music Festival in Austin, and has since collected rave reviews at film festivals around the globe.

If you haven't seen it you should. It's a great take on the man himself. I will be heading out too Cali this summer, I hope he is not touring cause he is known to be at The Rainbow all the time. It was also cool to see his son in the film and have the both interviewed at the same time interacting. It's a must watch. Make sure to have the Jack and Cokes ready.

Re: Lemmy
I got this on DVD a few weeks ago, pretty fuckin sweet!!
I found it a little sad cause its the first time I've ever thought he is showing his age. Not really suprising given he is a very old guy now, and watching this is the first I've ever really thought it, he just seemed a bit slower than I'd ever seen him before.
For anyone who never seen it, there was a documentary on him broadcast in the UK a few years back, its well worth a watch:
