It's a meltdown like Peter Finch in Network.
But his tweets are way too funny and coherent for him to be in deep trouble. I just have a feeling he's playing the media, and, gah, for lack of a better word, winning. He's going to make millions off this meltdown.
Yeah I know everyone tends to think he's self destructing and doing total harm to himself, but the more and more I hear from him the less and less I think that. I mean granted he says some crazy shit, but listen to that Howard Stern interview, or many of the others he's given over the last week and he sounds quite coherent. He's making a lot of sense and he's making some great points. He certainly doesn't seem out of it, or that he's going off the deep end with no direction.
Of course he could have me, and his million plus followers on twitter completely fooled. Only time will tell though.
They had the Charlie Sheen Porn Star Pagaent on The Stern Show today. Kacey Jordan won in a landslide over Capri Anderson and Melanie Rios in case anyone cares. The 3 of them had vastly different opinions on Sheen.
Kacey, who spoke to anyone that would listen soon after participating in Charlie's biggest bingefest in early February said she "sold" her story because she was concerned with Charlie and feels he's slowly killing himself.
Capri was the girl who locked herself in the bathroom that crazy night with Charlie and said he got physical with her, which Kacey couldn't believe. Charges and lawsuits are pending from the incident.
And Melanie seemed like the most genuine of the 3, she really seemed to care for Charlie. She said she only had sex with him twice, but hung out with him a lot. She too, said that Charlie had a violent side, and could believe Capri's claims.
Very gripping radio for sure.

You might be right. He could be either. He just seems to be fuckin' fried AND going cold turkey = going mad.
He looks more like a guy who DIDN'T take his meds, even coke, to me.

I figured he must've broken some sort of twitter record. Don't know if it'll be broken. Seems like a Joe Dimaggio type record to me.

No he didn't. Gary (Baba Booey) was in contact with him but he was too busy to call in I guess. Howard has offered him the opportunity to take to the airwaves whenever he wants to though. So the offer is open if he wants to take it. Charlie asked Gary if the show was on TV though. I think he's more interested in reaching the most people possible, so satellite radio may not be the way to go. I heard he was toning down the media blitz too, but we'll see.
Also, he wasn't too fond of the Porn Star Pageant. He had some not so nice things to say about those girls when he talked to Howard.
