One bad mofo... One of the best college football players of all freaking time and he as only played 11 games.  And no, he wasn't paid by Auburn.

I'm not a big beliver in Cam Newton as a pro QB but I think he's the best in the draft.

And I'm deathly afraid that the Dolphins are going to pick him #1 sad

He could be Culpepper in his prime.  He could also be Jamarcus in his (ahem) prime.  Either way, with the new collective bargaining agreement, he might be taking a paycut.

Did you see he just signed that huge endorsement deal? Insane.

I think he could be a more stable Vince Young. I'd want to compare him to Tebow, but Cam's a much better athlete, but Time is a better leader. Both aren't great QB's, but at least Tebow stayed in college like he should have to get better and really seems like he's honestly trying to be a better player.

And this is coming from an FSU and "da U" fan.

Shit, the Titans have a good chance of taking him if he is there at #8.  Hell if any of the top two qbs (Newton or Gabbert) are available they will take one of them.  The only way that Newton is passed is if he flunks out his wonderlic.  The new OC and coach are placing a premium on making audibles and OL calls by the QB.  I'm praying both those guys are off the board.  He's also working with Warren Moon (former Oiler HOF) and given the way the new coach has basically hired a whole bunch of people who used to be Houston Oilers there's another connection.  I'd hate a potential Newton pick for 5 seconds.  Newton has good mechanics compared to Young although he's thrown a lot less passes.

BUF, ARZ, SF, CIN (if Palmer retires) are all likely landing spots for the top 2 qbs.

Since you mention FSU, what's your opinion on Christian Ponder?  I think the Titans are interested in him and he sounds like a good pick in the early 2nd round.

BTW, I wouldn't worry about the Dolphins picking Newton, he'll be long gone by #15 unless they trade up.  If they do that the logical team to trade with would be CLE, since both SF and TEN have huge qb needs.  If AJ Green is still there at #6 there is NO fucking chance I move down if I'm CLE unless someones forks over a ransom.

I like Ponder but he's a work in progress. Coming into the season I was a sure 2nd rounder. Now, I'm figuring he may fall to the 3rd-4th. I think he'll be a definite good pick for someone, if he gets with the right team. I see a lot of Drew Stanton in him. Smart, athletic but not really ready for prime time. I think they'll both need a few years to get adjusted.

The Dolphins don't have a second round pick, so I don't really see them moving up. Especially since Parcells guys are still there and they like to trade down. If they trade up it better be for Patrick Peterson.

Sooooo, looks like Cam IS the real deal... Shattering NFL records.. If the Panthers can get a running game, they will be a dangerous team.  Aaron Rodgers was in awe of CAM!

2 weeks does not a career make.  That said, I've been pretty impressed with what he's done so far.  He did take a hell of a paycut though.  Maybe he should have stayed at Auburn and collect some more dough.
