Ever come to think that he uses the name because he actually LIKES the songs played and the possibilities it gives him and the audience?
Couldn't he do that regardles of what the name of the band is? Everybody esle seems to do ok.

Bingo. There is a thread in the Slash forum with his setlist from the other night opening for Ozzy. Slash played 11 songs, 5 of which were AFD tracks. For such a short setlist by a solo artist, that is a shitload of nearly 25 year old songs. If he can do it under his solo name, then so can Axl. And so SHOULD Axl.
Re: *RUMOR* Possible GnR one-off reunion for Superbowl XLVI?
It's his band. It's his brand, he developed it. He never bailed on it. He can do what he wants with it. So yeah, he can tour with HIS band's name.
It's hard to take the predictions of someone seriously when they are constantly proven wrong... This is the end of GNR <insert various times throughout the years here>... CD will never come out... ext...
CD sold well, especially considering how it was released. It got great reviews. It was a great album. It was not a failure, to the shagrin of a lot of bitter people.
Well, since I've yet to be proven wrong, I can only assume you're not speaking to me. My claims about CD have pretty much played out exactly as I said they would. I said it wouldn't surprise me if it never came out, and if it did, it would sell initially and die off once the curiosity passed. I've seen nothing that doesn't resemble that perfectly.
It may be his band, but he didn't develop the brand - that's a pile of shit. He created it with other people, then lives off of what the other people did while bitching about the other people doing the same thing. One of the many, many hypocritical things in the world of GnR.

You said it would never come out. You had to admit it when we called you out on it, when you kept playing your "I've never been wrong" bullshit. But of course it comes down to your selective memory.
It may be his band, but he didn't develop the brand - that's a pile of shit. He created it with other people, then lives off of what the other people did while bitching about the other people doing the same thing. One of the many, many hypocritical things in the world of GnR.
Yes, he developed it. I never said other people didn't help, but I said he never bailed on GNR. It's his band. Not yours. I'm sure GNR means a lot more to him than it does you.
I think its funny a few disgruntled fans try to slam him because he's using a successful brand he started.
But like its been stated in this thread. This conversation is old and boring.
Re: *RUMOR* Possible GnR one-off reunion for Superbowl XLVI?
How can ANY of you take this shit so seriously? This whole thing has become such a fuckin' joke.
We ALL are cliches of ourselves on these boards. Every fuckin' thing we've talked about has been done and done and done and done and beat into the damn ground, over and over, that all you can do at this point is play it for laughs.
Err dude, I have been around "so long" as well. Just because you pull the "I'm old and wise" card, doesn't mean you can shoot down other peoples hopes, dreams and interests. It makes you sound like my grandmother.
If your 'hopes and dreams' are tied into any form of music, that you yourself are not performing, then you need to seriously get a life.
It's that same philosophy as to why I don't take these boards too seriously. Far more important things going on in the world, that make anything involved with Guns N' Roses an annoying waste of time.
