Re: GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUMBLEFOOT Says He's Been 'Impatiently Waiting
If every band had GNR's management, we wouldn't be seeing much touring from anyone then. Sounds like a miracle big bands can even play live using these parameters.
I didn't expect a tour in february and I'm not disappointed or surprised. I didn't expect it. Statistically, after a whole year of touring, they would be off taking a break due to whatever reasons.
Look for summer 2011.

Screw you guys, Axl continues to face unprecedented, Godzilla times a trillion sized problems that not even The Avengers could overcome and he STILL managed to play Abu-Dhabi. The man is a fuckin' trooper.
Re: GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUMBLEFOOT Says He's Been 'Impatiently Waiting
It summarizes why GnR has been an epic failure since Axl took over the name. Once he had control, he wasn't giving it back to ANYBODY. That hasn't changed. He puts people the he has control over (or they control him depending on ho you look at it) in roles that they have no idea how to do. If you're a professional tour manager, running a circus like GnR isn't THAT difficult. If you're a writer, running GnR's tour is near impossible.
Axl's inability to release control of anything to people that know what they are doing has done an immense amount of damage to the brand and the people involved in the band. If Ron is this frustrated, imagine how everybody else feels. At some point, these guys are going to have made enough money off of Axl and they are going to want to go back to being what they are: creative musicians.
Bottom line: like usual, Axl has created his own problem. Perhaps he doesn't see it as a problem at all, which makes it an even bigger problem.

Well, when you create those problems yourself, it's pretty hard to feel sorry for you. Axl is his own worst enemy.

He was using sarcasm Buzz...
Not posted in a while just read so here's my two cents: Unless they are playing somewhere, where I can go see them I don't care. I only care if they do something new- be it something on the website, a music video, a concert dvd or new music. Aside from those things I really don't care. I love the music but now, this band bores me.
Re: GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUMBLEFOOT Says He's Been 'Impatiently Waiting
I really how to question how much power the manager has in this situation since everything has to be filtered through the Malibu Mafia anyway. That and they tour when Axl feels like it.
It's pretty close to absurd where you have to go through a lot of channels just to speak to Axl.
I think Ron is pretty close to leaving at this point after reading that interview. It's the same old story. At some point dealing with the GNR business outweighs the advantage of working with Axl, particularly when there is no new material being released.

Re: GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUMBLEFOOT Says He's Been 'Impatiently Waiting
they are all hanging on hoping to get Axl to sing on some of their submitted music. None of them have been on million selling albums before so the royalty and publishing check will be bigger than anything they've had before.
Nowadays I don't think the boss of GNR cares for his bandmates that much and vica versa. Axl is still where the money's at so they talk him up, defend him, defend themselves etc. When that money no longer looks like its coming and the tour cash has dried up, some will move on.
Bumble is highly unusual in that he continues to talk to the fans and be honest about his feelings. Props to him for that. The others all sound like politicians, trying to say nothing while saying something for fear of pissing off the boss. You must have noted the near total radio silence from all the other alumni in recent times following their botched 'honest opinion' interviews.
Only new guitar boy is the other one doing any talking (I'm sitting here and can't remember his name - shit, what does that say about me and GNR these days..?). He just talks the usual harmless, purile toss about having 'great ideas' and that the band have 'things up their sleeves'; all the same tired old junk that we've had for a decade.
Personally I think he's just pushing his products and brands for as long as he can and hounding Axl to sing over his compositions for the royalties.
If we don't get CD II this year, my prediction is that the band will decend yet another level, with hired hands playing what hired hands played three years before that. Dilution is not a situation Axl seems to care about.
This band's legacy in the media is now down to one album . It should be like U2's, not like the Spin Doctors!!
