No GUNS N' ROSES SONGS On 'Glee,' Says SLASH - Jan. 19, 2011
According to The Pulse Of Radio, VELVET REVOLVER and ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash told Entertainment Weekly he would not like to see the hit TV series "Glee" do a GUNS-themed episode or even have the cast perform one GUNS song. Slash explained, "We got asked about that once already but it got turned down. In the current climate of what's going on in entertainment these days, I try to be more optimistic than negative because it's really easy to get negative about it, but I draw the line at 'Glee'."
Slash added, "'Glee' is worse than 'Grease' and 'Grease' is bad enough . . . Actually, I look at 'Grease' now and think: Between 'High School Musical' and
'Glee', 'Grease' was a brilliant work of art."

This sucks. You might pass judgment on the show because its set in a high school, but its actually one of the most clever, best written shows on TV.
Personally, I fast forward my DVR through the music, because I have next to zero interest in it, but the show around it is great.
I'm a huge Gleek, and it gets a bad rap because most of its fans are gays and high schoolers, but it's a very well done show. Sue Sylvester is the best villain since Al Swearingen on Deadwood.

Glee sucks, with all due respect. I mean, at least they are trying to do SOME kind of scripted television, unlike the awful American Idol.
But still... Glee... no.
I hope Guns N' Roses holds near and dear to that pride of there's, while I see Quiet Riot songs on DIAPER commercials.
Nothing is sacred anymore.
Now Glee and say a "Queen" type of catalog. They've done it before here and there, and see that kind of thing makes sense. Queen was a very bigger than life, opera-presentation of a rock band. Their songs WORK on a show like Glee.
