For me, Axl is the best frontman of all time. I do think it's cool when Slash says stuff like this. It would be very easy to just avoid the subject as a whole
If you throw out longevity, he's right there in the mix. If longevity isn't taken into consideration and you look at the whole package: charisma, energy on stage, songwriting, and vocal talent...he's right there with Plant and Mercury IMHO. Ahead of Jagger, who gets disqualified for having a garbage voice compared to those other three.

Oh no, he just has a cover band attempt to play Slash's guitar note for note on tour. Hell, one of his cover band guitarists even wears a top hat.
Hmmmm GNR went years with the lead guitarists, Bucket and Robin, both playing the songs their own way. And some fans complained they didn't play the songs not for note. Not to mention their looks were nothing close to slash.
What I've heard of DJ he seems to play the songs in his own style, probably closer to Slash than Bucket or Robin, but I wouldn't say he is similar. I seriously doubt Axl brought him in because he wore a top hat.
If there's any similarities there I'd say DJ was a Hot Topic version of Slash 
But saying Axl brought him in to be a "Slash" replacement is a little silly.:)

DJ is a Hot topic version of Slash? I know that you are in love with Axl, so you support blindly whoever is playing in his cover band, but hey, it was really stupid.
Edit: sorry, I was really harsh. I was rude. I still disagree with your post, as I find it as another try that 'doesn't matter who plays guitar in the band, they are just different looking guys, the band is the same'. But sorry, I withdraw my 'stupid' remark and apologize.

DJ is the poor man's Slash. Just like Fortus is the poor man's Izzy, and not the 'Hot Topic' version.

You really cant compare Izzy/Fortus - Slash/DJ - Bumble/Bucket just as you cant do Axl/Scott/Myles/drover They are all different guys. You like them or you dont!

You know, the most offensive thing about this post isn't the stupid part, but saying I'm in love with Axl and that I'm a blind follower
I think everyone here who's been around me any length of time around here knows how ridiculous that is. And for the record I've never said, or tried to say, in any way, that this GNR is the same band without Slash.
And I'm just as guilty for saying childish things and getting into childish arguments. No harm done. I completely and utterly disagree with you on everything nuGNR related, but I'll try to keep it respectful.
