CAMP FREDDY brought in the New Year at the world-famous The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California last night (December 31) with a show that featured drummer Matt Sorum introducing original GUNS N' ROSES timekeeper Steven Adler for a version of "Paradise City", guitarists Billy Morrison and Steve Stevens (BILLY IDOL) being joined by THE CULT's Billy Duffy for the BILLY IDOL song "Rebel Yell", and an ear-splitting finale that brought both Lemmy Kilmister (MOTÖRHEAD) and Phil Campbell (MOTÖRHEAD) onto the stage with Steve Jones (SEX PISTOLS) for versions of "God Save The Queen" and the MOTÖRHEAD classic "Bomber".

CAMP FREDDY is the Los Angeles-based "jam" group featuring Dave Navarro (JANE'S ADDICTION, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), Billy Morrison (ex-THE CULT bassist, current CIRCUS DIABLO vocalist), Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES), Donovan Leitch (son of legendary folk singer Donovan), and Chris Chaney (JANE'S ADDICTION, ALANIS MORRISETTE).
CAMP FREDDY's lineup for last night's performance included BILLY IDOL guitarist Steve Stevens and THE CULT bassist Chris Wyse due to Navarro and Chaney being out of town.
In a recent interview with Gibson.com, Navarro was asked if there will ever be a CAMP FREDDY album. "We talked about it for many, many years, but the logistics of something like that really doesn't translate to what we're about," he replied. "We're a live band and we're about the fun on stage and whoever's gonna get up with us — we don't know from night to night. And when you go into a studio to record songs that have already been recorded, it's difficult to recreate that kind of energy and spontaneity, so it's unlikely at this juncture."
Since its formation seven years ago when they rocked the opening of The Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles at the invitation of Brent Bolthouse, CAMP FREDDY has performed on both coasts of America and on national television shows ("The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", "Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn", "Last Call with Carson Daly").

STEVEN ADLER And MATT SORUM Share Stage For 'Paradise City' Performance (Video) - Jan. 3, 2011
CAMP FREDDY brought in the New Year at the world-famous The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California this past Friday night (December 31) with a show that featured former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum introducing original GN'R timekeeper Steven Adler for a version of the GUNS classic "Paradise City". Fan-filmed video footage of Adler's appearance can be viewed below.
Adler's appearance with CAMP FREDDY comes only a few months after Steven slammed Sorum in a interview with Ultimate-Guitar.com. Adler was kicked out of the band in 1990 due to his drug use, and when asked how he felt when he heard that Sorum would play on the band's 1991 "Use Your Illusion" records, Adler said, "His were just half-assed, crappy versions. Nothing personal against the guy, but he's like a goddamn drum machine. He's got no heart; he's got no soul; he's got no feel. And as life and the years have shown obviously I'm not the easiest drummer to replace."
Adler added that he thinks the "Use Your Illusion" albums would have been bigger than the band's 1987 debut, "Appetite For Destruction", if he had been on them.
Steven subsequently apologized to Sorum during an August 2010 appearance on the "Good Day L.A." television talk show, explaining that "the words just came out wrong." He added, "I think you're [referring to Matt] amazing and I love you, man. Sorry about that."
Sorum told The Pulse of Radio a while back that if the original GUNS N' ROSES band reunites, they should perform with both him and Adler. "If it's me on drums or Steven or whatever, if it happened, it'd be great, you know," he said. "I would actually say to them, 'Hey, bring both of us back,' you know. Let me play the other stuff. We'll have two drum kits. I don't care. If 'Appetite' ['For Destruction', the band's debut] sounds better with Steven playing it, have both guys up there. They can afford it."

Awesome what matt says about the drumming in a reunion senario.
I think the other guys feel bad about what happened to steve and will want him there, slash in particular...but it's not logical having him unless you only do AFD tracks...so it makes sense to bring in matt as well to dop the other stuff.
All fantasy though at the moment.

I totally agree for a reunion with dualing drummers. Personally I think it'd probably come down to Matt doing the job full-time, with Steven being brought out for guest appearences.
Axl would probably lobby for Frank.
