Re: Happy Holidays to GnREvo from Ron
That's not as good as Slash would have wrote it. Nice though.
hahaha
Re: Happy Holidays to GnREvo from Ron
It's not cool that Ron acknowledges this site; what's cool is that he is the only person in the gnr clique that understands this place even if he doesn't agree with everything here. Nobody here hates gnr, but Ron seems to be the only one that gets that.

Yeah I know what you mean, but I often feel on a human level it's got to be tough for famous people. I mean I supose you'd learn to have a thick skin early on, but I know I'd find it hard if people critized and monitored my every movement on the level that GNR deals with. Of course that's just the price of fame I guess, but I know if I read some of the things said around the place about GNR about myself, my family or my creative efforts I'd wind up depressed!
So I can understand that it's a mixed bag for the band, on one level I bet they welcome the support side of it, that even people who post crap about the band care about the band enough to spend time posting crap, and many are the same peeps who will go to shows, buy products and so on, but at the same time, I think on some level in the case of GNR the negative energy at times actually seems to cut through and hurt their feelings or otherwise hinder progress with the band. I could be full of it....but I sometimes wonder that.
At the risk of becomming one of those people who post lyrics...some of the quotes in Madagascar always made wonder, given the song seems to be about keeping inspiration, not giving up etc (or that's what I get from it anyway)...but I think this line rings true for this situation:
"Everybody's acting like we can do anything and it don't matter what we do. Maybe we gotta be extra careful because maybe it matters more than we even know."
I'm not saying madagascar is about the boards or anything crazy, but I do think that some of our posts could potentially discourage Axl or someone else from the band at times.
