the dude lived through some crazy shit and was/is a founding member and the main songwriter for one of the biggest hard rock acts ever
can hardly be called pretentious IMO ... you may not like him but hes seen and done everythign and more than a rock star could ever want and lived to tell the tale, i say more power to him

I quite like Nikki Sixx, but he really plays the "I'm such a deep artist" card a bit much.
Motley Crue's music was for the most part VERY little substance.
Only album worthy or anything really artistic was their self-titled 1994 effort, and they've pretty much ignored it ever since reuniting with Vince.
