The difference between Axl and most other people with something like that is that with Axl you'd take layers out without him around, not add them on.

I could see the Bono-view getting up in arms about a GN'R release being finished sans Axl, being the only original member.

However, most likely if Axl's voice on the tracks is recorded, then lyrics exist for it, and most likely it's already 99% complete anyways. The lyrics and vocals seem to be the LAST thing Axl does on a song.

So most likely if that vault were released tomorrow, you'd have some finished tracks, some demo's, but primarily - a large amount of instrumentals.

It also depends on who gets the GN'R brand name in his passing. I hope to God it's not anyone from the inner circle, or even worse - Universal or some company getting it.

If it was a cool move like it reverting to Izzy, then I think alot of the diehards would feel more comfortable if the old band reworked some tracks, left some new band tracks in their original form, and the old band as a collective whole released the new band's work as Guns N' Roses.

That's the only way I don't see them getting their panties in a wad. Even now, they still don't respect Tommy Stinson or maybe even Dizzy Reed, if they were spear-heading it, i'd be totally down with.

Ummm.... this doesn't sit well with me at all. You mention my view on things at the start of this then say "they dont' respect Tommy"

You aren't honestly saying  I don't repsect Tommy are you? Cause that's how I read it and the fact is I NEVER said anything of the sort.  And as for Dizzy whatever man. He's not a critical part to Gn'R. Never was, never will be.  Being Axl's loyal friend doesn't make you a Gn'R legend.

Actually you pulled something from the end of a post, and correlated it your name drop at the beginning.

I don't think you disrespect Tommy, I was simply referring to your requirement that an original GN'R member must be a composer on all future recordings under the name Guns N' Roses.

Sorry for any confusion

I suppose this song is better than "Breaking News", but it sounds like an Akon track to me, which I've never really been a fan of.

This is not a Michael Jackson album. Jackson was one of pop's biggest fussbudgets: Even when his songs were half-baked, the production was pristine. He would not have released anything like this compilation, a grab bag of outtakes and outlines assembled by Jackson's label. And yet, it's a testament to the man's charisma that Michael can be compelling. Jackson gets songwriting credit on eight of 10 tracks, and they are recognizably Michael Jackson songs. "Behind the Mask" is a fiercely funky cousin to "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' "; the Lenny Kravitz-produced "(I Can't Make It) Another Day" is a "Dirty Diana"-esque dance-rock song that also features Kravitz on guitar. There are thrilling glimpses into MJ's creative process — check the snippet of him singing and beatboxing his idea for "(I Like) The Way You Love Me" — but Michael's most amazing moment is the Thriller-era ballad "Much Too Soon." The song is full of guitars and strings, but all you really hear is that voice — hovering between child and adult, between male and female, between mournful and ecstatic.
