5. Shackler's Revenge (GNR) - this was the first song from 'Chinese Democracy' to be released, as part of the 'Rock Band 2' video game in Sept. 2008. It was the first release of recorded GNR music that I was part of. On a personal level, it felt like going from engaged to married. Songs are like children to me - it felt like a first child being born and the start of a family.

Yeah that part doesn't make sense to me either, but like I said before, things may have gotten lost in translation. He probably "hates" the fact that they haven't moved forward and worked on new material with the latest lineup. And the part about the royalty checks seems to make sense. The more I think about it, the more I believe it. Unfortunately though, they don't give me much hope for a US tour or new releases. In other words, sounds completely believeable.

the part about Azoff hinting at Finck that he should leave is interesting
but yeah its just a bunch of accusations....who knows, but Ron's been pretty good to GnR fans and seems like he's having fun when he's playin so whatever

Nothing against the current lineup, but I'd much rather hear the 28 finished songs from the CD sessions before anything from the new band. Besides, even if Axl was moving ahead with the newer songs we know it would take five or six years before they were reworked to his satisfaction, so they might as well put out the older stuff in the meantime.
And what this guy says does explain a whole lot, it just seems like he's got a personal agenda there.

You never can tell.
...But I mentioned it a few times before, the account Bumblefoot used to make the rare post on MYGNR and HTGTH were registered (even though no posts back then) in 2004... 2yrs before he says he joined.
Don't think he was that much against their music.

i think the poster has gotten a little carried away with himself when saying BF HATES GnR's music - if anyone was gonna hate GnR it'd have been Bucket and/or Finck.
but i don't have any trouble believing there are probs w/BF & his role in the band. we've speculated on here over the summer & autumn of how uncomfortable or outspoken BF has been in the band & the hypothesis presented by the Sorry-guy seems possible.
the whole post does sound plausible IMO. i just reckon the unrealistic plans & day-dreams of axl cloud a lot of what could/should happen with an organized & productive band.
the intra-politiks of the whole saga is detailed/guessed at pretty well by the Sorry-guy post i think, perhaps exaggerated somewhat but for the most part it COULD be accurate.
