Re: Slash won’t give Myles a break
Yeah, Myles sings in a lower range on most of Alter Bridge's music, but I'd still say they're heavier than Slash's music. They're almost metal at times, whereas Slash is more just heavy rock.

Yeah...i'm just thinking of that Myles boot - was it manchester - where he goes like "Help me out on this one, it's kind of a bitch to sing, actually, to be honest, all of these are kind of bitches to sing" or something like that.
Alterbridge is musically heavier but I wonder if slash is more punishing to the voice.
I've been listening to a bit of alterbridge today actually...starting to get into it.

Maybe Slash was referring to his forthcoming album, which gonna be heavier.

^ Let's hope so. I'd love a slash album of heavyish riffs
Re: Slash won’t give Myles a break
If you play the songs live, then you are "listening" to them. Just fyi for Slash.
And as for the GN'R name thing, I believe Slash on that. Always have. Slash, Izzy, Duff & Matt have all backed the story up as truth on various occasions.
I think the "he had a shotgun and was threatening to not perform" story was a bit exaggerative, but I do believe all of them got contractually obligated to the UYI tour, then Axl demanded the name or he'd pull the plug, not only costing them money, but more importantly burning bridges with other industry people and fucking their careers without their consent. That I do believe happened, and that's why Slash and the others always felt it was an ultimatum.

Alter Bridge is modern rock. Slash is Hard Rock. Neither are metal. Slash's style is usually more gritty and dirty than that of Tremonti (Creed/Alter Bridge).

Yeah I'm no Alter Bridge fan in the least, but I always THOUGHT they were lighter than Slash solo, in comparison.

Re: Slash won’t give Myles a break
I only own Alter Bridge's first album, but that album is definitely heavier than anything on "Slash"
Some songs even resemble Black Label Society, musically anyway, like this one below
