Subhuman race was a flat out terrible record. thats why they went to shit.

Debut and Slave are amazing. Hell, I put Slave up there with the best albums of the 90's but Subhuman Race is terrible. I've tried multiple times to force myself to like it, but i don't. i hate every song on there.

Subhuman isn't their best effort, but it's far from terrible.

My Enemy kicks ass (probably the heaviest Skids tune ever), and the two ballads on there are great too (Into Another, Breakin Down). The rest are Skid Row trying to play grungy-thrash-metal. Not great, but not terrible either. Firesign is a really good rocker too.

Skid fans overrate Subhuman Race, and I agree, I don't think it's a good album. I only listened to it a bit, and I gave up on it years ago.

Terrible... eh, i've heard worse. Thickskin & RPM are FAR FAR FAR worse records.

SEBASTIAN BACH's Stint On Broadway Was 'The Epitome Of Uncool,' Says PLAYGIRL Rep - Nov. 14, 2010

Former SKID ROW drummer Phil Varone has responded to ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach's claim that Varone's recent decision to pose nude for an upcoming issue of Playgirl magazine is "further proof that the name 'SKID ROW' has completely lost all credibility, cool, accuracy and is now devoid of all meaning in every way."

Varone, who was one of eight patients featured on the "Celebrity Rehab" spin-off series "Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew", told the New York Post, "I'm grateful and proud of my time in SKID ROW and sorry [Sebastian] feels that way." Playgirl representative Daniel Nardicio defended Varone: "This coming from a man [Bach] who preceded David Hasselhoff in 'Jekyll & Hyde' on Broadway? Now that's the epitome of uncool."

Varone is featured on the cover of the winter 2010 issue of Playgirl. The publication, which includes a 20-page spread on the drummer, is due to hit newsstands on December 15.

Varone joined SKID ROW in 2000 — about four years after Bach parted ways with the group.
