I'm just curious, have any of the other members specifically mentioned a February tour?
I mean DJ mentioned a new album and a US tour in Feb, that's a BIG call given past experience. Could it be because he is the new guy on the block and he hasn't been burnt yet by broken promises etc?
Just wondering, since the other guys seem a bit more reserved about mentioning such things, presumably knowing how rabid fans can become when expectations aren't met.
Hope for the US fans it goes ahead but it just seems that DJ is predominatly the only one confidently talking about tour plans and a new album.

I think he has blessings from the GNR camp to say what he says. He's mentioned the US tour on two seperate occasions now. And the official GNR twitter mentioned it both times!

Yeah, I had the same reservations, but GNR tweeting and promoting the tour comments is a good sign. I believe it was DJ who said before that the plan was to tour the US after they got done in Australia, but now he's being more specific with the timeframe. Frank mentioned a late summer/fall US tour awhile, but that obviously didn't happen.
It would seem that plans are definitely in place, which is a good sign. Not sure if it'll actually start in February, but it looks like it's not too far off.

Bumblefoot << another GnR album.. >> We've yet to get in a room and write as a band - know DJ mentioned something about a new album, but don't want y'all expecting anything soon - other than old unreleased Chi Dem songs, songs need to be written, jammed, recorded, tweaked, re-worked, re-recorded, mixed, re-mixed, mastered, re-mastered, art, new art, label approval, a game plan from the label that Ax approves.... not as simple when it's on such a big scale...

That's pretty much stating the obvious, but thanks for the info Ron.
I never expected NEW material from the current lineup, at least not a full albums worth. I would expect the songs would've been tweaked a bit by the current lineup though, so that's still possible.
Ron's always playing it safe though. Smart.
