Ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach has commented on the report that the band's former drummer Phil Varone recently posed nude for an upcoming issue of Playgirl magazine.

Varone, who was one of eight patients featured on the "Celebrity Rehab" spin-off series "Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew", is featured on the cover of the winter 2010 issue of Playgirl. The publication, which includes a 20-page spread on Varone, is due to hit newsstands on December 15.

Writing on his official Twitter profile, Bach stated, "[This is] further proof that the name 'SKID ROW' has completely lost all credibility, cool, accuracy and is now devoid of all meaning in every way.

He continued, "I have never shared a stage or studio with this person in my life. [Varone joined SKID ROW in 2000 — about four years after Bach parted ways with the group. — Ed.]

"I ask you 'reunion' fans: [you] expect me to 'go back'... to THIS? Really?

"Sorry, it's just not gonna happen."

In an August 19 interview with "The BS" ("The Buckethead Show") on Orlando, Florida's Real Radio 104.1, Bach was asked why he can't reunite with his former bandmates as SKID ROW. "I just don't live in 1991 in 2010, and I'm talking about four other guys that I haven't seen in 15 years," he said before adding, "I think of SKID ROW the same way you might think of picking up your high-school yearbook. You have affection for what happened 30 years ago, but you look at the yearbook and you go, 'Oh, cool,' and you shut it, and it's today." He continued, "If I wanted to just play songs from 30 years ago, then I would call 'em and we would go out with FOGHAT and KANSAS. But then I'd be lying to you. That's the way I feel. I look at SKID ROW and the nose chain and I go, 'Wow, cool. Neat.' And I shut the book. It's not relevant today to me. . . I'm not the 'Youth Gone Wild', I'm sorry — I'm 42. It's a great song, but I'm not gonna pretend that it's who I am today, 'cause it's not."

I must say I feel Baz's current line up executes the songs just was well as the original skid row so he really has little reason to go back. And much as people complain about his writing, i think Angel Down is just as good as the old albums.

To me the distinction between GNR and SR is that GNR has two people with very distinctive tones - Axl and Slash - you can put either of them on ANY record and you know it's them peforming. Baz is also like that, you can pick his voice a mile off. But while i think the SR guitarists are great, I don't think I could tell them from any other dudes in a blind listen.

Absolutely monk. Ironic isn't it?

Sebastian Bach's solo band is more Skid Row than the band that calls themself Skid Row.

Not only does current-Skid Row suck - they suck HARD. I've heard no-name, YouTube, bar band, Rock Band amateurs churn out better music than Skid Row, post-Subhuman Race.

No doubt Skid Row have gone off the rails since Baz left. But I don't see what a playgirl shoot with a guy that isn't even an original band member (he replaced Rob Affuso) has anything to do with him not wanting a reunion with the original members.

And Baz sounds stupid dissing Youth Gone Wild too, considering he still plays that song live these days.

I couldn't care less about whatever Bach has to say about Skid Row - that was the only interesteing thing in the article.

The only thing with Bach is he has this ego like he holds some attitude-card that Axl has. Like a Skid Row reunion is comparable to a Guns N' Roses reunion.

Dude, only in your mind. Only a couple Angel Down geeks are even paying attention to his "prideful" Tweets.

I kept reading after he said he's no longer living in 1991.  His solo effort plays more Skid Row than Skid Row.

Baz seems to forget all the VH1 specials he's done.  Selling yourself out to soccer moms on VH1 is fine but it's not cool to pose in Playgirl.
