Re: Kid Rock - Born Free new [Official Music Video]
Looks like an ad for Harley-Davidson
Re: Kid Rock - Born Free new [Official Music Video]
Song is alright, but I think I may need to hear a little more to my liking to buy the album. I liked Rock N' Roll Jesus, and most of his other stuff, so I'd imagine I'd like this one. But that song doesn't quite do it for me, in a "I've gotta rush out and get that" kind of way.
Re: Kid Rock - Born Free new [Official Music Video]
The thing for Kid Rock and me, is I feel the guy has NO credibility. He seems to change his genre with whatever he thinks will get him radio play.
First he was Vanillia Ice, then he was gangsta, then he was country, then he was Hank Williams, Jr. country, then he was rock, then he was Bob Seger rock/country, now he's TBS bitch.
Whatever man, and his Axl-esque attitude with 1/8,000,000th the ability, fuck off.
With all due respect. Bottom line, his songs are average to me. jmho Born Free is no different.
Re: Kid Rock - Born Free new [Official Music Video]
Kid Rock actually has lots of ability. He plays just about every instrument at concerts. I hear he puts on a great show. I was talking to someone the other day who said they went to see Bon Jovi this summer at Gillette Stadium and Kid Rock opened for them. He didn't think much of Kid Rock at all beforehand but after seeing him live he had a new appreciation for him and was thoroughly impressed. Said he blew Bon Jovi out of the water. And Bon Jovi puts on a pretty good show themselves.
For what it's worth.

Im with you faldor on rushing out to buy it. I only bought Devil and Cocky.
JR you bring up an interesting point.
I never really understood the credibility point of view. As a band you have to shoot for radio play to afford to leave your day job. Who dose not want to be Financially set?
I do agree that Born free is closer to average than his past hits. Some of his latest music seems bland and missing the balls of his younger days. He has always paid tribute to his influences.
Thats what I like about him. I could imagine being in his shoes on the back side of fame & fortune exploring my musical roots I would find bluegrass, blues, country40's-90's, some classical, classic rock 50's-70's, southern rock, hair metal, hard rock, Metal, alternative, and some rap. I could also imagine at that point in a music career how cool it is to play with people that you grew up on.
I agree he has a rock star attitude but I would not put him in the "diva" bin with Axl. Honestly I do not think you could compare the 2 on any level.
Re: Kid Rock - Born Free new [Official Music Video]

Kid Rock To Donate 1200 Meals To Detroit’s Needy
by Tim Cashmere on December 16, 2011
Kid Rock has bought 1200 meals which will be distributed to Detroit’s needy this holiday season.
Rock picked up 1200 $25 gift cards that can be used at any Meijer store in the city of Detroit as a Christmas present to his hometown.
It isn’t the first time the singer/rapper/whateverer has done this. Last year he donated 1000 cards at thanksgiving.
The press release says “this is not the last charitable act Kid Rock has up his sleeve; a major announcement is being planned for early next year which will once again focus on Detroit.”
He also has a new album on its way in 2012 called Chillin’ The Most.
