I completely agree. Ozzy's sound needs more of a Buckethead, not a Slash. Slash & Ozzy would have to completely retool the back catalog to make it work.
To be completely honest, and this is gonna piss off alot of GN'R fans, but Randy, Zakk and yes, even Jake, are all superior guitarists in the shredding department.

yeah but slash has really stepped up his game recently ... the guy is on fire
i'd put slash and zakk on pretty even terms on guitar ability, Zakk may be a bit more technically proficient but not much
but Zakk also has a couple things going for him that slash doesn't have...zakk can play that crazy shit and sing as well ... and Zakk's also a damn good pianist
And Zakk can throw out pinch hamronics like nobody's bizness

have you seen him do the dimebag tribute live? I just found this clip. The emotion he puts into this song is awesome. its cool to see an artest get lost in there work. theres also an interview of zakk in an rv on tour where there talking then zakk just gets lost in his guitar and the interviewer just shuts up .
this song had to be the close of the concert. I dont see how anyone could have followed it.
