Time does what it does I guess. But the cool thing about these guys is the spirit is still there. Like when i saw slash this year, sure he can't run round like he could at 20 without getting zapped from his pacemaker, but damn the dude still played a hell of a show and that GNR danger feeling was still clear in his presence. Likewise Axl, he's still screaming his ass off, knocking out airport security....lol....i dunno I know people complain that they didn't grow up....but it's partly what I love about them....it's not like they got old and got a desk job someplace....they're still doing their thing, and hair or not the next generation can't seem to touch them yet.
