That looks really REALLY terrible. Just thought i'd go ahead and throw that out there.
I was laughing in hysterics the whole time watching it. It's one thing to do a movie (the original) where you spoof (a tad) and point the finger at the slasher genre. It's another when you do a film that spoof's your own franchise with all the principals involved.
This is Batman & Robin waiting to happen.
Re: Scream 4 Discussion
Hmm, not really enthusiastic about that.
See the thing is, I was always one of those guys in the corner that "Scream should've never had sequels". I thought the very existence of Scream 2, immediately parodied what everything the first film was talking.
The first film was flat out brilliant. I remember going to the theater to see Scream 2 and was disappointed. Then I went and saw Scream 3, and didn't think it was much better than Scream 2. Not really sure I want to go for the three-peat of a waste of time.
Re: Scream 4 Discussion
I liked it.
The shocker that I did NOT expect....
The characters from the old series were wasted. A smart move would have been letting all three be the first victims and these new characters take over the franchise. Neve was terrible in this. She looked totally disinterested and it came across in her performance. She had such few lines that bringing her back made no sense outside of it being the anniversary of the murders.
The Jill-Sydney family angle was wasted considering the twist in the film. What can they do with two more sequels now that its been resolved.
I liked how they used the remake angle instead of sequels but I think they didn't utilize it enough.
I'll go ahead and give it a 6/10. Best one since the original Scream but they could have done so much more with this.
