Tonight's episode featured a GN'R joke on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother". When referencing Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) liking of things off while not liking obviously likable things, it was stated...
Ted: "Barney, like at that Guns N' Roses concert, you're like 'Paradise City... whatever, when are they gonna rock me some Chinese Democracy?!??!" (makes a face)
Barney then replies with a smile: "Ted you just don't understand, Axl's really matured as a songwriter"
It went something like that, dunno if there will be a YouTube clip of it. Just thought it was a little funny seeing a new GN'R joke on a prime time sitcom on CBS.

There was another joke later on. Ted's new girlfriend Zoey apparently prefers CD as her GN'R album of choice.
Apparently there must be a CD fan on the writing staff.
Don't know the show. But yeah, sounds like there is a closet-CD-fan among the writing staff...

My old lady loves that show so we watched the episode last night after I saw your thread. Sounds to me like theres more of a "Old GNR" fan on the staff than a "CD fan"
Both jokes seemed to be digs at CD to me.
Yeah, they also had a Slash mention last year. I'd also lean towards them being "old" GNR fans. Hey, at least CD got a mention or two, right?
