Re: Slash Finishes solo tour leg, regroups with VR
Hey all, how the hell are you?!
The "We're all gonna die" tour has been such a good fucking time I can't even begin to express!
From the 1st show at the infamous Roxy in Los Angeles last April, through Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada, the US, including the final 2 shows at the House of Blues back in LA, we got the most unbelievable response I could possibly have wished for!For that, I want to thank you all for your unbridled energy & passion (plus an extra touch of mayhem). I honestly haven't seen that kind of intensity at a rock concert in a long time! That is what has made the shows so fucking great across the board; Your insatiable appetite for genuine, in your face rock & roll, no doubt!
On that note, I can hardly wait to get rolling again in Jan. We start in the States then hit Asia, Australia & South America/Mexico. We're working on UK/European dates as well, Alter Bridge schedule permitting.
I will announce all the exact calendar dates as soon as they are completely finalized. & that will be forthcoming very soon.
Also, for those of you in South Africa, we badly want to come to come over, but the promoters there have to ship us out. So get on them!In the meantime, there's a lot going on. VR is back together jamming, trying out singers. No updates yet. But its great to hook up with Duff, Matt & Dave after all this time. I'll keep you posted on any interesting developments from those sessions as they happen. But the creative juices are definitely flowing. I'm positive something awesome is going to surface soon.
I'll also be out promoting the "Slash" Deluxe Edition. We've put together a really cool box set of the original 14 song album, plus bonus studio, live & acoustic tracks. There's a couple demos in there, videos, live footage, interviews with the different artists & more. So I'll be popping up here, there & wherever, talking about that etc.
I'm also working on killer new material for a future solo (or not) release. The details of which will be coming down the road as well.
So all in all, there's a lot of really cool stuff happening!
That's it for now, looking forward to seeing you out there next year!!Slash iii|; ),
PS, cheers to those of you who contributed to the "Fanwall" its amazing!

Re: Slash Finishes solo tour leg, regroups with VR
^ I love Duff and Izzy..but I'd rather see duff nailing the bass and izzy cutting those rythtm groves that go so well with slash....i think GNR's sound needed a 'big' singer...even if not axl then someone else with a huge voice and range...and duff and izzy are too restrained for me.
People diss VR, but I've been getting back into their stuff of late and I really like a lot of it. Duff, matt and slash go so well together. If they got an awesome vocalist to go with them....i think it will be incrediable.

His focus on VR will be short lived.

Re: Slash Finishes solo tour leg, regroups with VR
Cool. Hilariosu how so many Gn´R fans think he´s a shamless self promoter. Like as if Axl ever went about business the way Slash does they wouldn´t eat it up.
I think it's great that Slash keeps his fans so informed. BUT, all the guys in VR have been dragging us along for years now. It's almost to the point of the guys in nuGNR talking about how mindblowingly awesome "Chinese Democracy" is and how we'll be hearing it soon. I don't expect to see or hear anything worth seeing or hearing from VR anytime soon, despite what they might say.

You guys can foam at the mouth for a VR reunion all you want. I find this more interesting. The fact that he has written in brackets "or not" leads me to assume it could possibly be a Slash/Myles entire collaboration album that he's referring to.
If there is a God...please...
