That is a nice setlist indeed! Finally IRS makes a welcome return, always been one of my favourites, hope someone recorded it so I can check it out. Wasnt impressed when it was played in Asia to be honest, the song has Robin all over it and DJ just couldnt replicate that unorthodox sound imo.

Haven't watched these yet.  But this guy has a bunch of songs up.  And here's IRS.

Glad to see IRS back.  I never really appreciated how taxing this song must be vocally, but it's right in that zone for pretty much the whole song.  Also, REALLY cool to hear him singing on Don't Cry.

How awesome would it be one of these nights to have the entire band kick in and play the whole song midway through Ron's solo though?  Imagine being in the audience for that?

Also, it looks like Axl coming out to sing was a surprise to the band.  Did you see Ron get pumped when he started?  And then he's madly waving DJ out to the stage to help out.

madagas are you implying that the size and/or mood of the crowd dictates the setlist variations and the quality of the performance?"

how do you multi quote in one post? I think the crowd and mood of Axl and the band totally dictate setlist and energy

I agree im hopeful that somone has dont cry recorded with good audio. i still need it for my GnR live 2010

Is it a coincidence these shows starts picking up again quickly once they are out of the mainstream spoiled areas of Britain, Scandinavia or potentially USA? I mean, when they go to some friggin country with low income and less bands coming, they increase the set list and seems to have a good time. It looks like these people are way more appreciative towards having a good time than those of us who come from countries where bands flock in and does a show every thirty seconds.

it's not a coincidence, but it doesn't make it right. fans in the UK/scandinavia/USA have as much right to hear IRS or Shacklers as the romanian fans.
axl's whimsical mood dictates who is granted a good show or not. and sometimes fans in countries that are more exposed to touring bands, or countries where the pressure/spotlight on GnR/axl, are treated to an average or phoned-in performance then the next night in another country it's an amazing show. there definitely is, and always has been, a lack of consistency with GnR/axl live. but what really rubs me the wrong way is the 'club'/'acoustic' shows are usually reserved for NY/London where there is a substantially larger media-base than say if they did one of those club shows in romania..

it was awesome, in case anybody was wondering 16

i was front row in richard and ron's area.
danko started a little late and there were only 45 minutes between them and gnr. i was really surprised when they started so fast (10:20 p.m. local) big_smile

everything sounded great from the front row, some of my friends who were 4-5 rows behind ssaid that for the first couple of songs they couldn't hear axl so well but for me it was the opposite, he was on top of the guitars but everything got sorted out fast.

axl sounds great and the whole band was very tight. i wasn;t expecting to hear better at all so that was one of the nice surprises. we got irs so that was pretty cool. and about don't cry, ron started it by himself as usual and axl came in at the second chorus and sang it 'til the end. all in all, we got some nice treats which i'm very happy for.

in the kohd video @ 5:43 axl trips while making it back to the center of the stage, you can't see very well because the camera moves from him. he just laughed it off and carried on. it was pretty funny 16 they all seemed to have a good time out there.

during paradise city dj climbed on the first level of the scaffold(?) (the metal bars that hold the stage on the left and right) that you can see in the videos from the show and played half the song from up there. crazy dude.

all in all it was a great show. if you get the chance to go see them, it's worth it. that's all i have to say.
