Not sure if this should go in the Black Hole but thought we'd get a  better discussion going in here maybe.

Everyone talks about Fergie being a good female rock singer but what about Pink? I think she's way better and more legit as far as a rock singer goes. I think it'd be cool. Here she is covering Led Zeppelin with her band. It's pretty damn good.

I've always thought if they went with a  female singer she's be pretty cool.

I like Pink, she's got great voice.  But she's larger than VR could ever imagine of being.  Not to say the gig would be beneath her, but I don't really see it as an option.  Unless she's sick of writing and performing pop songs and wanted to let the rock out.  I guess that's possible.  But she's making boatloads of money in the pop world, so I'm sure that'd be difficult to walk away from.

True Pink has much better rock cred than Fergie.  Funny I was only thinking the other day, there are very few female singers that I like.  But Pink would probably be right at the top of them.  She's got a great voice and puts on a great show too from the vids I have seen (my Mrs loves her!).

Got to agree with faldor...I love VR...but pink is too popular doing her solo show to need to work in a band context....she sold out 15 shows in a row just in melbourne here on her last tour....58 australian shows....and we only have 20 million people here or whatever...her fame level is insane.

I can see Velvet Revolver forever being a band that always has a new singer every few albums or even every album. I would imagine that if Slash asked Pink to do this and write/sing/record and tour for one album with VR I'd bet she'd do it. Not that she needs it or the money but her credibility in the industry as well as with rock fans would sky rocket.

Joining VR between her own personal albums would be no different than what Myles KLennedy is doing other than the fact Pink is a global superstar and Myles isn't.

But yes it's extremely unlikley and to be honest virtually impossible that this would happen. I'd just be interested in hearing it that's all.

Linda Perry would be my female choice. I mean as a singer.

She used to be in a punk rock band before going solo. She's definitely "rock enough".
