Re: Paris, France - September 14, 2010 (L'Arc Paris)
This is pretty funny
That's great. Pretty cool that Axl found the whole thing funny. After some of those lethargic moments, it's good to see him in good spirits.
Maybe they need to go back to being exclusively a club band? Axl seems to have a ball at those shows. Even in 2006 he talked about how much he liked that stuff, because it reminded him of those whole CBGB & Roxy shows.
Acoustic. Detroit. Show.
(please?)
Seeing those guys?
More like...
New. Album. Now.
(please?)

TIL does sound pretty good. That song would have been huge 20 years ago.
I cant stand how at concerts everyone cares more about holding their cell phones/camcorder instead of actually experiencing the show. Just looks so fucking stupid to see rows of people doing this.
Maybe they need to go back to being exclusively a club band?
21st century GNR could possibly thrive in such an environment. I wouldn't even consider it a downgrade. There's nothing wrong with performing at clubs.

Here's a few pretty good full length videos.

They do seem to enjoy themselves quite a bit at these private gigs. Not that they don't at the arena shows, but it's definitely a different vibe. And it seems that you can hear Axl better in these smaller settings, which is always a plus. At least from youtube videos, which obviously isn't the best way to experience live music.
