Matt comes across as a bit of a douche sometimes, but I don't get all the hate for him.
He seems like a pretty laid back guy, who obviously digs getting laid. And if any of you were in his position, as drummer for the once biggest rock band on planet, don't tell me you wouldn't take advantage of women throwing themselves at you, and all that other rockstar stuff.

Matt comes across as a bit of a douche sometimes, but I don't get all the hate for him.
He seems like a pretty laid back guy, who obviously digs getting laid. And if any of you were in his position, as drummer for the once biggest rock band on planet, don't tell me you wouldn't take advantage of women throwing themselves at you, and all that other rockstar stuff.
I think the problem is that Matt's riding other people success to get laid, but his ego is huge. To tell the truth, his contribution to UYI wasn't very strong (except some songs like Locomotive), yet he acts like he would have been Guns N' Roses. I even remember one of his interviews after he was fired, where Matt was screaming that someobdy else than him would play Sweet Child O' Mine.

True, but despite AFD & Lies success, Matt was apart of Guns at a time that they were at their height in popularity worldwide.
So I can see where he feels he's as much Guns as Steven.
But going on Axl's setlists in the last 10 years, even if a reunion were to happen, there's so little UYI material played, that it would be pointless to bring back Matt. Barring 4 +/- songs, almost all of it is AFD & Lies.

And as creepy as mother-daughter team incest stories are, I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg of what's gone on backstage and on the tour bus. Matt's just the one blabbing about it.
But things have changed as far as what's acceptable rock star behavior. I'm sure most people here have great respect for Jimmy Page, despite the fact that in the seventies he had a well documented relationship with a fourteen year old girl (Lori Maddox) when he was in his mid thirties. If Robin Fink came out tomorrow and announced that he was fucking a 14yo, I'm sure most of us would label him as some sick pedophile kiddie-diddler.
