Re: Reading/Leeds Boss: GNR Must Pay Any Curfew Breach Fine
I had a job once where you were fined for being late. So I just cut them a check every week, but by God I was coming in at the time I wanted.
Yeah, I'd guess Axl and the band see it that way too, better to pay $20k and have Axl ready to perform than force him onstage early and see what happens.
But I bet it shits his accountant off, fines like that must mess with the profit margins of a show.
Re: Reading/Leeds Boss: GNR Must Pay Any Curfew Breach Fine
We all know Axl is going to go on late, so why don't they just work that into the planned show? Have the opening band(s) play, then schedule something to fill the time until Axl's private jet shows up. Maybe have a live DJ, video clips, some kind of craziest fan contest, strippers, etc. but at least have something to keep the crowd from growing restless.

Re: Reading/Leeds Boss: GNR Must Pay Any Curfew Breach Fine
exactly...that is Axl's fine. The accountant is paid to tell him what he owes.
Yeah I'm in fantasy world...was just thinking of like those tv shows like Entourage....where famous people decide to do something, and somewhere there's a dude in a suit looking after their finances going grey early
Like the comments Axl made after leeds, he said something about how the band was contractually obliged to play the shows even though they hadn't known about them and how that seemed crazy or something similar to that.
To me that reads like Axl got pissed off after the show, and wanted out of the next, and someone phoned him up and pointed out they'd be liable for a shitload of cash if they bailed on it. Could be wrong...just that's the impression his comments gave me.
So like on this tour. I'd assume Axl and the Band just want to get out and play shows because they like playing them, but it's someone's job somewhere to make that profitiable, or at least not send the band broke. So you'd think someone somewhere does the paperwork and sighs when the maths is 20k out, but then maybe they bugdet this type of thing in
