Being a Tool fan, I can handle the setlist if they nail it. Some of the vids confirm that they are nailing it.
I'm with you on that. This I love sounds great with all those guitars in it, they are on form, Ashba has really stepped up

u know, i had real issues with the set until i saw them live & fk me they really do put on performances that are worthy of the GnR name. they sound FANTASTIC when they're actually on stage. the band & singer are really really excellent. for those 2 hours in belfast i was real emoshunal & just the happiest fking GnR fan in the world.
it's just a drag the rest of life can't be like those 2 hours..
now i WOULD have seen the exact same show the night after in dublin if i'd had hung around & maybe then my attitude would be slightly different.
i'm seriously considering heading over to england for one of the shows in october..
as it is, i'm still bemused by a lack of Twat. axl's voice would be perfect for it these days. ITW i can understand him skipping cause his voice is so raspy atm, but a lot of the average punters would dig Twat..

Shame they seem to have dropped all the heavier tracks from CD for now (excluding CD). If they're going to play 5 CD songs I'd have thought the more well known ones would be a better bet to get more of the crowd into it. CD and Better were both singles, ITW was on Body of Lies and SR was on Rock Band, they should be the staples on the setlist imo.
I can only assume it's a vocal thing for Axl as Sorry, SOD, TIL and Madagascar are all pretty slow tempo tracks.
Having said that, if the band are nailing the performances then it's only a minor complaint. I'd rather they focused on showing up and performing than the setlist tbh.
