Great to see them mixing the set up, and new songs being added.
Hoping to see My Michelle in the set soon too, as they also mentioned recently.

I'd also like to add, (without turning into another Slash vs Axl debate) that Slash and his live band are complete opposite to the trainwreck of problems GN'R currently is.
Slash and his crew are out there playing sold out shows, albeit to smaller crowds, and giving awesome rocking performances, without any issues, bullshit or unnecessary drama that seems to follow GN'R.
They are a shining example of what any great rock band should be doing, and doing it well.

They're really out there "doing it for the kids" so to speak...
Re: Slash live - Do It For The Kids added to the set
Yeah there's no crap he just gets on stage and puts on a kick ass show.
It's funny I was watching his Sydney gig thinking to myself if I had to make a choice I would rather watch Slash play GNR tunes with Myles Kennedy than watching the Axl Rose circus do the same.
I can't put my finger on exactly why, maybe it's the whole fact that there is no bullshit is a big factor. No overblown stages, no tantrums, no late starts, no pyro etc just a band with their gear getting up on stage and doing their thing. Just stripped back rock n roll and they all look like they are having fun.

Yeah i think the sort of problem we're seeing in GNR now is the reason we'll get no reunion...like Duff and Slash spent 10 years apologising for the late starts and the drama, and I think they just ran out of gas for it. I mean why would you quit GNR back in the day for fuck's sake, they really must have just been pushed too far. Also Axl hates them anyway it seems. That said, I don't think anyone in GNR is a saint, and I'm sure they had their own demons that also troubled the band.
I think the key to GNR is they're all insanely talented, but they all have some issues. Like slash is prone to relapses and drug problems and also needs to live on the road it seems, meanwhile Axl has a temper and needs to operate according to his own timeline which isn't always compatiable with gigs.
Anyway...it's great to see Slash kicking so much ass live, it's really a great night out, and I encourage anyone near a show to attend it. Even though we just got an album, I hope it encourages him to do more, I'd love to see him and myles do more stuff...

Yeah, Slash has been adding more and more songs to his set, while Axl has been cutting it to less and less.
I'm not a DIFK fan, but I welcome every new song played. I wish he'd add some more Snakepit (he mentioned Lower a few weeks back, as his favourite song off Five O'Clock). I've seen Slash this year @ Novarock and the show was insanely great. The tunes were really alive.

They added Just Like Anything into the set as well, changed it up from Beggars & Hangers On

The funny thing is that now Slash plays more songs with his 6-months-old band, than Axl with his much older line-up.

It's actually not far off the Paradise City riff, which is said to be Slash's favourite GN'R track too.
