There were a lot of people posting on HTGTH who were psyched for the Leeds show, saying how Reading sucked and Leeds was the real deal. It'll be interesting to see how they react when they find out. I can't imagine they'd be too pleased. It sucks for the fans who bought tickets. And you never know with this band. Axl could change his mind tomorrow, but somehow I doubt it.
From the video it seems like he has the bands support, so either they agree with him or he sprung this on them out of nowhere.

It's not fair to the fans to cancel the show. Axl was late to this fucking gig and they, true to their word, pulled the plug. In turn Axl acts like a little man-child and cancels the next gig. Total bullshit.
Why not just show up early to the next concert and rock the fucking house????

Seems odd to punish the leeds promoters because he had a disagreement with the reeding guys?

Ahh well that at least explains that.
I must say it does seem 12 is early to make a festival end, but I guess that's the government not the promoters.
And as much as I accept it's the band's fault for going on late, it also seems like they pretty much only had PC left before pack up anyway, so you have to wonder if it was necessary to cut the power. But i guess they were facing a massive fine or something.

Its in the middle of a town. Reading and Leeds are both on a short leash with the authorities because there has been so much trouble at these gigs in the past, its not just about bringing money to the local economy as some fans on the boards seem to be focused on. The festival organisers genuinally have the powers that be breathing down their neck with a zero tolerance policy that threatens the future of the festivals. GNR knew the rules, they knew the appointed slot, theres no excuse for such unprofessionalism.

They most likely did. He cancels Leeds because he can't show up on time? Hilarious.

No excuse. Btw, who booked these gigs? I will be very interested to know. The man obviously have no idea what he's doing, booking Axl's late show on festivals that are already on a knifes edge with the local authorities.

People post video in HTGTH thread with Axl saying Leeds is cancelled. Jarmo says, the band haven't told me that so it's still on. Someone asks again he says, it's not went up on the official site so it's still on....
I hate this band.
