Re: Round 2
I'd like if Axl unleashed the Cd Vault as a series of albums so that I could have a Chinese Democracy Collection. Release them over about 6 months on the run-up to Christmas 2011 then just in Time for Christmas he releases his Autobiography detailing where he has been from 1993-Now.
Summer 2012 New Album, Self Titled written by the current members and recorded in around 12 days in the studio, 10 songs and some nice packaging

Re: Round 2
Things I'd enjoy:
1. A release of the CD2 material.
or
2. A Chinese Democracy DVD. There's a couple of ways this could be done:
(a) One is release the proshot footage they take of the asian shows or some a hybrid of some shows. So basicly the normal setlist with a mix of AFD and some new songs - kinda a modern era version of the tokyo disc
or
(b) Same but with only the CD songs. Have they performed all of them live? So like the live DVD version of the album basicly. Then you could chuck in a couple of classics like paradice and jungle as bonus features on the disc or whatever.
or
(c) Something they shot specially to be a DVD in a more intimate setting. I remember that NIN album robin did the other year. The Slip i think its called. Trent released it online, but the physical version in stores had footage from "rehersals" and it was basicly a live peformance of the songs shot in a rehersal studio. Something like that would be amazing for CD. Close ups of Axl so you can see the emotion when he screams, close ups of bumble and the guys shredding out those parts. I think this idea would be cool as when they are peformed live and with video they have a type of energy and aliveness that is different to the more sterile eniroment of playing a record. But doing it with no audience in a TV studio allows for retakes and do overs so that if someone fumbles a part or something the song doesnt have to be dropped. (unlike a dvd of shows at a specific venue where like if the song went wrong on the night then it's got to go).
or
3. New material with the new band, like bumble is saying, although I think it makes sense to continue with CD2 first - or as part of any new material.
Anyway, that's my suggestions!

A new album would be revitalize my interest 100% into this band again. Right now, it's at about 60%.
