Yeah it was cool meeting you guys.

I thought the gig was awesome!  Myles has a great vocal range to pull off most of the material from Slash's back catalogue too.  You know I was standing there watching and I thought to myself, if I had to make a choice I would rather watch Slash playing old GNR tunes with Myles et al, than watch Axl play old GNR tunes with his travelling circus.

You won't be disappointed he put on a fantastic show.  I think it was almost 2.5 hours.  He really seems to be in smokin hot form too.

I think this solo album and the positive press it and his tour are getting is helping to somewhat mend his image after Libertad - which I thought was underwhelming.  Well for me it has restored my faith in him and that he still has a lot of good music left.

Shame Myles doesn't seem to want to take the VR gig.  Back to Cali got a huge reception when it was played.

I was wondering during the show as well, like obviously I'm a huge Axl fan, but Myles and Slash are really doing great versions of the GNR and VR numbers, and it makes you wonder, if they also had Duff and Matt...and then did a heavy GNR setlist...and created new songs in the style of the solo album...it would be interesting to see how it went down with the general public. Like it wouldn't be called GNR but the vibe is very much in that direction.

Haven't had much time to write up a review of the gig, but listening back to the Official Live recording I bought after the gig, it was an awesome 2 hours of Slash rock n' roll heaven. I don't think anyone there wouldn't have left without a big ear to ear grin on their faces.

If you're a fan of Slash, this show was a showcase of his career - GN'R/Snakepit/VR/solo, and all of it sounded awesome. Every opportunity Slash had to extend a solo or show off his shredding, he did. And the band sounded tight as fuck as well.

I'm glad they'll be returning to our shores in February next year, because we'll get to see this awesome showcase all over again.

Still waiting for my CD to arrive but I'm looking forward to it, I remember he really shreddded the hell out of some of the VR solos, far more than the studio versions unless I'm rembering it wrong!
