The Rock 'N Rev page on Facebook posted the story link (on their wall), and others called the news crap... Here's some of the hilarious comments (from the various links):

"If it was technical difficulties maybe you could clarify because the jackass didn't show up until 12:30 in the morning!"

"So if equipment was to blame for the delays, who is to blame for not being able to hear 95% of the vocals throught their set? That was a much bigger dissapointment than any delays"

"Someone should have announced the "technical problems" before everyone got pissed off."

"Axl Rose was to blame since he never showed up until 12:30 in the morning... but nice of you to take the heat for the jackass!"

"I am definitely going back to the Buffalo Chip next year, Guns n Roses ruined it for me at the Rock n Rev this year ...was not worth the money (even though tickets were two for 1)."

"From my experience that is totally axl. He takes the stage when he damn well pleases. I seen them 4 years ago and he did the same thing. Too bad you couldn't hear the vocals at all during this show"

"Axl Rose is notoriously superstitious, not to mention a douchebag. You'd be better off posing those questions to him."

Also, this photo (posted below) shows a crowd at the Buffalo Chip campgrounds. This was posted on DJ Ashbas' Facebook page (link: http://www.facebook.com/ashbaland) Well, GNR never performed at Buffalo Chip, they performed at MonkeyRock USA, a completely different venue. Buffalo Chips' headliner this year was Scorpions... While Rock 'N Rev had GNR.

Well lucky enough for Axl, he/GNR were huge and made massive amounts of money when there was money to be made in the music biz.  I can't say for sure, but I doubt Axl is hurting for money at this point in his life.  I'm sure he likes making money and I agree he could make a lot more if he changed his tune on things.  But it doesn't appear that's going to happen and apparently it's not worth it to him.  I'm sure he knows what the deal is.

I'm not saying Axl needs/wants to make money. I mean that the promoters and higher ups do. And in order for them to book acts, they need to know they're gonna draw people and make them money.

No promoters & higher ups interest in Guns N' Roses, no booked shows.

They're doing fine overseas right now.  Obviously that could change and you could certainly argue that their profitability has been decreasing for some time.  But it's still there.  Promoters do still want them.  And when they don't want them anymore, Axl will just call it quits.  I don't think he's as concerned about things as you or I are.

No offense but who are these people making these comments and why are they to be believed?  Did they drive Axl to the venue?  This certainly isn't the first time people have made baseless claims against Axl, nor will it be the last.

Amazing that in 2010, calling Axl tardy is a 'baseless claim'.

That was not the point of his post. The point is the source. The official source put it plainly what went on (unless you wanna be Fox Mulder and claim Axl paid them off to say it or some dumb shit like that). In the post by justbill, he put more credit in the average jerk off making teenylevel comments below than the original source.

You keep making these claims that everyone here is making stuff up. Isn't it possible that the guy who's been late to every single show ever is the one making stuff up about why he was late?

Of course it's possible, but I'm not about to take the word of 2 random posters on some website.  I could post a bunch of negative shit about Axl right now and I could be convincing enough to make tons of people believe it (thanks to Axl himself).  It doesn't make it true.  Maybe it IS true, I'm just questioning the sources.

Well, like faldor says first and foremost.

So let's say he's making it up. As in, it was the event organizer officially saying it wasn't his fault.

Did Axl bribe him?

It's a baseless claim to me since I have no idea who those people are making those claims.  The event organizer said Axl was ready to go on by 11:30.  Maybe the guy is lying.  Completely possible.  But at least he has a title and I know where he's coming from.  2 random posters from youtube, blabbermouth, wikipedia, etc.  I'm sorry, I'm not taking their word as gospel.  Do you think it's remotely possible they could make anything up?  IF they were even at the show to begin with, maybe the buzz around the crowd was that Axl was late and that was the reason for the delay, so they went and ran with that story.  Did they have contact with Axl that night?  Did they know the events of his itinerary?  When he left the hotel?  When he arrived at the venue?  How do people get this information?  They must be quite privileged.
