Re: Sturgis, South Dakota, USA (Rock 'N Rev Festival)
Unfortunately, South Dakota is about as off in the distance as you can get in the continental United States for me. And it's in a very remote area so it's not cheap to get there by plane. So, that's a reason there's not as much hype about this as one might think. It's not a very populated area and there's not much around it, other than that it seems like a fine place. No offense to any South Dakotans. I did always want to see Mt. Rushmore when I was a kid. Haven't gotten around to it yet though. And if GNR isn't enough to get me to South Dakota, I don't think dead presidents carved out of rock will do the trick either.
Plus I just got back from vacation in Vegas as it is. I could've had the plane drop me off along the way I suppose, but a man's gotta work sometime.

Re: Sturgis, South Dakota, USA (Rock 'N Rev Festival)
Reading the updates/reports from the different boards, there doesn't seem to be a lot of US-harcore-fans at the gig.
Wierd, considering it's the first real gig in the US since 2006.
Sure I know it's in the middle of nowhere for a lot of you guys, but seems like you can count the boardmembers from the different boards in attendence on one hand...

Re: Sturgis, South Dakota, USA (Rock 'N Rev Festival)
yea disappointing set. hopefully reading/leeds bring about some fresh faces. & the loss of some familiar ones.
(do we really need brownstone in this day & age? any guys who partied hard in Guns are long gone.. IRS has much more in common with current guns than brownstone)
Re: Sturgis, South Dakota, USA (Rock 'N Rev Festival)
Weird that IRS has hardly been played at all this time around, its one of the best new rockers they have and it sounds pretty damn good live. ITW sounds great as well and is one of the strongest new tracks imo.
They are not exactly long songs, they could squeeze them in somewhere, mabye lose a pink panther theme song or some other bumf. Or mabye go on stage 15 minutes earlier...
