although selling out is opionion
i disagree that U2 sold out based on two facts:
1-they have never have been afraid to make experimental albums.
2-they were big long before the albums started sounding a bit more poppy.

This chick's face has been plastered damn near everywhere since 2008. There was a lull in activity, but she was still everywhere.

One has to consider how many synthetics Mr. Lofton has consumed when making those statements.
