(RTTNews) - Electronic Arts (EA) has revealed the track listing for the soundtrack of Madden NFL 11, the latest in its popular football video game series.
The new game is focused on creating the in-stadium experience and will feature tracks by such rock icons as KISS and Todd Rundgren. This is a new approach for the game, which has traditionally showcased music by new artists.
The Madden NFL 11 soundtrack will include KISS' "Rock and Roll All Nite," AC/DC's "Thunderstruck," Guns 'N' Roses' Welcome to the Jungle" and Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train."
"The term 'Madden Music' has come to mean music that matches the intensity of the video game," said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing for EA. "This year, we wanted the music to not only define the game, but also the stadium experience. These are the classics that consistently bring NFL crowds to their feet."
He added, "It's an exciting new audio direction for Madden NFL, one that we know all fans will respond to. There is nothing like the experience of live football in a packed stadium, and the Madden NFL 11 soundtrack absolutely brings that excitement home."
Madden NFL 11 is slated to drop on August 10, and will be available on several game systems.

For once, one of these sports games gets a soundtrack right.
It might be recycled, but it's still got to be better than elevator music by a bunch of nobody's.
If they really want the stadium experience they need to throw Queen's We Will Rock You and Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls in there.
