Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
haha or the fact Steph was able to take a gun away from him... not very manly when a bony skinny model can Steven Seagal ur ass lol
gayest moment in GNR history
This one probably takes the cake. Axl's "fashion" sense back in the day was a huge WTF in the first place. Add in the naked fan and it's gotta be the weirdest shit in GN'R history.
EDIT: Actually, Axl's fashion sense has always been a big WTF. The braids, big jerseys, and lately it's the 70's porn star/trucker mustache.
Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
About the only time Axl's fashion sense as been spot on was during the very late UYI days late 93, into 94, when he was wearing suede blazers, tee's, ripped jeans, cowboy boots and a bandana.
That's a pretty solid everyman look.

He looked good during Farm Aid as well.
Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
How about releasing your 15 years in the making masterwork and doing absolutely no promotion? No cover story with Rolling Stone, no MTV appearance, no music video, no fucking tour... What's sad is that's really not a WTF moment, more like par for the course. The real WTF moment is that Chinese Democracy was ever released at all. And I think that only came about because between the leaked tracks and Azoff, Axl's hand was forced in to putting it out.

Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
The funniest ones came from the community; after Chinese Democracy was realed someone made a post on HTGTH that went something like this:
"I was giving my friend a ride in my car and I played him This I Love. I told him it was the most beautiful, emotional and heartfelt song I'd ever heard. He told me it was the gayest song he ever heard so I told him to get out of the car!"
The poster was deadly serious about throwing the lad out of his car.

I've thrown a friend out of my car for dissing GNR before. I was joking around, as was he, but I DID throw him out. I was giving him a ride home from high school back in the day. He was a big Oasis fan, who I hated and let him know about it. So GNR came on the radio and he started going off on how much they sucked. I warned him that I'd make him walk the rest of the way if he continued but he didn't relent. So I pulled over and kicked him out. Luckily for him, I had made it to the end of his road at the time so he didn't have a very long walk home. I wouldn't have actually kicked him out if it was any great distance. And I certainly wouldn't play by those rules THESE days or nobody would ever ride in the car with me, as GNR has become pretty easy to criticize.
Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
I never threw anybody out of a car, but I did stop a car full of people, put in park, eject my AC/DC cd, take out the keys, and exited the car and threw the keys as far into the woods as possible.
Everyone in the car called AC/DC "fags".
Throwing the keys was stupid, but I was furious.

Wait, were you driving? Did you throw the keys to your own car? If so, yeah that wasn't a very smart move. If you threw someone else's keys, that's rough. But hey, they knew the consequences.
Not music related, but a friend of mine once drove 3 of us to get some 99 cent Whoppers. He had to stop for gas on the way and while he was in paying, my friend in the front seat took like $3 in change from the center console. For some reason my buddy flipped out when he returned and noticed it was missing and demanded we all get out of his car. He left us high and dry, 15 minutes (drive) from home. One of my other friends had to call his girlfriend to come pick us up. Needless to say, my one friend has a pretty bad temper, even to this day.
