It is getting kind of ridiculous. I was thinking the other night of where else they could possibly play outside of the US. If they indeed plan on touring for a long time where else can they play? Australia I guess. Africa? Antarctica? The Middle East? How far are they willing to go to avoid playing in the US?

I don't think it has anything to do with them avoiding the US, I think the US is avoiding them.

I don't think so....I think the band needs money and is simply playing in the areas where they can make the most. They can easily make money in the big markets in the US...New York, Boston, LA, Chicago...attendance in the States would be similar to Canada. There wasn't any real difference in attendance between 2002 and 2006 in the US (AGAIN ABOUT 8500 a night). I see no reason why 2010 wouldn't be the same.

They can easily make money in the big markets in the US...New York, Boston, LA, Chicago...attendance in the States would be similar to Canada. There wasn't any real difference in attendance between 2002 and 2006 in the US (AGAIN ABOUT 8500 a night). I see no reason why 2010 wouldn't be the same.
In 2002 and 2006 there was still some mystery.

In 2006 they cancelled several shows due to poor ticket sales. They gave tickets away to many of the shows to get the attendance numbers for the concerts that did happen. The numbers might look the same, but what they represent is not the same.

don't agree...Axl and the Gnr brand have a built in fanbase. People will still come to see him sing classic Gnr tracks. 2010 Canadian tour had the same numbers as 2002 and 2006. 2010 European tour doing the same as 2002 and 2006. 2010 Jap dates did about the same as 2007. Notice a trend? The US will be the same. They just don't sell as many tickets here as the rest of the world.

poor scheduling in small markets...the dollar gross per show according to Billboard and Pollstar for 2002 and 2006 was very similar. I don't have the links anymore but rest assured I studied them closely.
The sky is always falling for some of you even when they continually prove you wrong. They are still a viable touring entity and a functioning band/business. You have nothing to prove they aren't.

I don't have to prove they aren't. The fact that they aren't touring the US and the poor album sales in the US tells me everything I need to know about interest in the band in the US. Add to that giving tickets away and cancelling shows because of lack of interest in 2006 and the burden of proof shifts to the side claiming the US can't wait to get them to tour here.
The proof is in what is happening. I'm not sure what additional proof you want or need. Do you really think they could tour the US anytime they wanted and are just choosing not to?
