Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
Cool thread. How about this: Axl making a phone call in the middle of 'Get in the Ring'?! With the sounds from pushing the phones buttons & everything. Was that really needed? Who did he call anyway? The media?
Hmmmm, here's a good trivia question at least: Was that the first phone call on a rock record?
Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
yeah WTF was his obsession with the phone. he did that on KOHD also right?
Myb it was KOHD then, and GITR was just the angry rant only.. Originally I thought it was KOHD but thought I was thinking of the sound of the guns being unloaded while being laid down. I don't have audio right now to listen. Still, putting a phone call in the middle of an iconic Bob Dylan song is even more WTF??!
Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
the entire "I don't know if soon is the word" comment. That one is pretty funny since he said it in fall 2002 and the album came out around six years later.
Buckethead's fascination with wolf dog poop and jacking off to porn and Axl's (or the band members) concern for the sanitary conditon of the studio.
The rambling statement Axl used to describe "Oh My God" in 1999. Can someone translate what the hell he said there?
Since I Don't Have You--the video is cheesy and Duff is clearly out of it.
Blaming MLB for the website lack of coherency or information being posted is another one I just thought about.
Those are just off the top of my head.

No. I don't know the first. But Pink Floyd definitely used a phone call to an operator in "Young Lust" I believe it was.

Touche, I forgot about that. Probably the most famous phone call in rock.
Slashisfro some good ones.
Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
You could be right - the whole Dan Druff name had to have been a pisstake!

Re: GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments
Good call on Young Lust.
but that went with the song
Axl randomly dialing someone and shit in the middle of KOHD was a WTF
Funny moment was Duff on those Tokyo videos talkin about being the conductor or whatever the fuck of the band. shit still cracks me up when i see it and his transformation is other worldly.

Wait, are you thinking of the phone call in the middle of KOHD? Was there one in GITR?
