Not that I know of, just a bunch of "doctors" getting paid for never curing anyone.
The only times i've ever seen Psychiatry work, is in extreme abnormality.
But even still... they're using drugs to stablize someone who's batshit. They're not really curing anything, they're simply slapping duct tape on a broken door.
i took a psychology course once at college...business psychology...it was a joke, i even missed an entire chapter of classes cuz i couldnt stand the class, so i was gonna go home the one day and someone said arent you gonna write the test? i said test? what test...proceeded to go in to write it and got 79%...i never even attended a single day for that entire chapter

Psychology gets more complicated at that upper-class level, and especially in graduate work. Unfortunately some people take Intro courses and immediately think "oh I get it".
Psychology is real, but it's a science. Not a medicine. Hate to break the news to all of the Psychology field.
Therapy only works on the cognitive level and those who actually want counseling.
But i'm neck deep in the Psychology stuff right now, and i'm struggling like hell to buy the biological side of things. How someone who consciously is a narcissist has a mental disorder.
No they need some ass kicking. They're a dick.
Psychology imo is like a "self-defense training" course in understanding people. They really haven't gotten anything conclusive beyond that, and any true honest doctor that tells you that is full of shit.
One thing in it's defense though, is it's a fairly young science with alot of kinks to work out. It's growing. 100 years ago, everything was individualism.

Psychology isn't all rubbish.
I used to experience anxiety after I got involved in an excessively stressful situation. With some help from a psychologist I've been able to entirely remove this problem from my life and i'm back to how I was before it ever happened, and that's all through talking and without taking any medication or anything.
Doesn't work for everyone. But it does have real world benifits for some people such as myself.
Then again, for my ex with BPD that i mentioned earlier, there's no amount of talk or medication that can really help her it seems. Very sad.

Wonderful. And that's my hope for the future. Cognitive treatment is far more appealing, and in the end more successful.
But you have to understand, when you get into the science, and your in a sea of doctors, the Psychiatrists believe it's all biological. At least most of them. Everything is an inbalance, you get drugs, and you correct your life. And I personally think people are starting to burn out on that. ADD & ADHD is probably one of the most overdiagnosed conditions in the history of God and man. It's real, and some legitimately have it, i've had to work with some of them. But it's not near as rampant.
Unfortunately you have doctors out there that are great people, who want to save the world one person at a time, and I love those guys & gals. BUT, like any other profession, you have those that will just take your money. Just like medically, i've had good doctors, so-so doctors, and absolutely horrid doctors.
Psychology is no different. You have to doctor shop. But the science is legit.
Let's keep in mind, medical science hadn't even heard of AIDS 30 years ago pretty much. Understanding the human body, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually changes every nanosecond of every hour. We're always growing.
