The brash, bald and fat cliché image of a Hollywood mega-producer, Les Grossman, portrayed by an unrecognizable Tom Cruise in Ben Stiller's film Tropic Thunder with Robert Downey, Jr. and Jack Black, will spin off into a film of its own, from MTV and Paramount Studios it was confirmed Wednesday.

Grossman was a big hit on the MTV Movie Awards June 6, opening the show with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, Jaden and Will Smith, and then in a dance routine with Jennifer Lopez.

Ben Stiller teams up with Cruise again for the project, called the Untitled Les Grossman Project, and has referred to the film being better than Citizen Kane. He states: "Les Grossman's life story is an inspiring tale of the classic human struggle to achieve greatness against all odds."

Even the 'official' press release kept up the gag with Paramount Film Group President, Adam Goodman stating, "Everything I learned in this business, I've learned from Les. I started out as his assistant, and from the first day he threw his desk at me when I got his lunch order wrong, I have loved him like a father."

Actor Michael Bacall (Inglorious Basterds) who wrote the upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs. the World film with Michael Cera will write the script.

I've heard the same thing. Friends who put it on their Top-10 ever... huh?

I thought it was one of the worst movies i've ever seen. Not only is it not good, it's not even the best film of any actor in it. Ben Stiller, Robert Downey, Jr., Jack Black, Nick Nolte, whoever. They've all did films that crush it.

If Tropic Thunder is one of the great comedies ever made, than The Great Outdoors with John Candy & Dan Aykroyd is Citizen fucking Kane.
