I like it small and tight...that sounded great. I can live with the same setlist if they can nail it night after night. Of course, I want more Chinese but in the end, I am just happy he is doing something. Happy Axl has a better chance of releasing new music than does unhappy Axl.

That Sweet Child was pretty sweet. I wish Ashba could play the whole solo because it kind of kills the vibe when Bumble takes over.
Dumb question, but do you think the band watches Slash play this song, as well as PC or Night Train to compare and see what they like better, etc?
Re: Moscow, Russia - June 8, 2010 (Olympiyskiy Stadium)
I'm not sure what you're asking. If DJ, Ron, Richard watch Slash to see if they play the stuff better than him? I would say no to that. If they watch Slash to see how to improve the way THEY play the material? Again, I'd say no. I think they have an appreciation for Slash and like to play it as close as possible to how he does, but at the same time putting their own personal style into it.
And as for the tour so far. I was getting a little worried with the setlist shrinking, and I'd still LOVE to see 19 songs played instead of 17. BUT, from all the youtube videos I've seen Axl sounds pretty fantastic. So the quality of what is being performed is quite high, despite the quantity not quite being what it used to be.

You are probably right, it just seems like they would check them out, I know if I were them I would be a little curious. Of course after watching PC live from Rock AM Ring, I might realize I need to pick up my game, cause Slash totally dominated that song, especially the outro... I am just talking guitar player to guitar player...
Re: Moscow, Russia - June 8, 2010 (Olympiyskiy Stadium)
if they aren't keepin an eye n an ear on what Slash is playin, they should be.. he is their competition & at the minute it sounds like he's at least equal 2 them.
fortunately for me i get to see both tours soon!* so i can hear how they measure up in person as opposed 2 utube clips..
*touch wood. hope i'm not jinxing my gettin 2 see GnR.. tickets go on sale in 2 days!!
