Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season
HA! Maybe you can hold a parade for 2nd place down Southside Chicago for your Blackhawks.
Seriusly though I don't think the Flyers will be dominated at all. I think it'll be a close series. The Flyers have 4 or 5 skilled players who can load up on offense and they've struck lightning at the right time, which is all you need sometimes. & Leightons playing great (obvi).
And the batteries is overplayed. They threw them at JD Drew for douching it up & refusing to sign with the Phillies so he sat out the whole year & re-entered the draft. I'm not saying he dserved it, but if ever an athlete did, that guys towards the front of the line.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season
I'm picking Chicago in 5, the Flyers have looked really good but who have they played? Boston and Montreal? Neither of those teams would've MADE the playoffs in the west, in fact Montreal would've been tied for 12th place.
I know the Habs looked great after they managed to take out the Caps and the Pens, but let's not pretend they're a great team. They were lucky to be there. Boston was a goal away from sweeping the Flyers and they're not that great either (scoring the fewest goals in the Eastern Conference this year).
The West is better than the East, and the west is sending one of their best teams while the east's best teams are long gone. So I expect the Hawks win it.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season
Good first 2 games. Game 1 surprised me, I didn't expect a shootout like that one. Sucks Flyers lost game 2 but they certainly hung in there both games. Back home now, playoffs don't begin until someone loses at home.
Doesn't it worry you at all that the Blackhawks played like crap in game 1 and won and didn't play much better in game 2 and won? Especially given the fact that they have been better on the road than at home during the playoffs.

Oh please, quit being so biased. "Played like crap". Why because they only won by 1 goal?? Sheeez. Leighton gives up 6 goals & that's par for the course I suppose in your mind but Niemi gives up 5 goals & the Blackhawks played like crap. And game 2?? They didn't play like crap, it was a close game. Because the Flyers are good. Nothing to do with playing like crap. It's the Stanley Cup, if you play like crap you deserve to play like crap. That's just Darwinism. In fact that second goal was pretty lucky, so count your blessings they won, could've easily remained tied & gone into OT.
It worries me that they're down 0-2, but they played hard. Still tonight is close to a must win, though I hate saying that term. BigBri the same can be said about the Flyers being dominant in must win situations. In fact they're undefeated (5-0) in them. So that's going to be a wash.

You got some nerve calling Eager's rocket 'lucky' considering how Philly scored.
The Flyers AREN'T good. I'd say they're the worst team to make it to the Cup since the lock out. They beat a team they've been built to beat (Jersey) then lucked out by playing teams so bad they would've been done in the West before the Olympic break. The games have been close but it's clearly been Chicago who's played below their capability, not Philly. Leighton had a bad game just like Niemi, but they had all the penalty calls in their favor and couldn't score when they really needed to.
Nothing's over yet, of course, but if the Flyers were to turn around and win this it would possibly be the most surprising final I've ever seen.
