Re: CNN poll: 52% say Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012

Right now there is nobody in the GOP that can beat this guy. Romney is their best bet, but the far right is already got him on their attack list. A lot of TARP has been paid back with interest, GM just paid the loan back with interest, housing is stabilizing in many areas, and for the first time in a couple of years there is optimism about the economy again. Historically speaking employment is last to come around and will improve over the next 18 months I'd imagine. As health care is phased in and touches more American families the approval will continue to go up. The DOW, at 7500 when Bush left, is not back up to 11.1. The DOW represents international companies, so it's not a true barometer for the economy, however it is a fairly accurate portrayal of our retirement funds.

The right have been very busy calling names and misrepresenting facts. It's going to be difficult to call him a "Socialist" in 2012. All he'll have to do is explain how TARP has been paid back and made the tax payer millions. When they claim government "Took over the auto industry" he can point to GM payback and say the same thing. The old tired arguments of the fringe right simply won't hold water at this point as they've all been proven, and will continue to be proven, false.

The GOP lost 08 mainly because of Bush's dismal lead in, it was simply time for a Democratic President. What sealed the deal was McCain was weak and Palin was a carbon copy of Bush. I don't think the GOP understands that they need to reel in the Neo Cons if they want a chance at beating Obama. Putting somebody up like Palin won't be good enough. They need a moderate who can appeal to Indies and bring something more than bumper sticker talk to the table. Right now the heroes of the right are Beck and Palin, and that's fucking disastrous for their party imo. That kind of rhetoric will guarantee Obama keeps his place for another 4 years.

Obama actually had a history of being a liberal Democrat before running in 2008. He got elected, because he slowed his role, and slanted more moderate. The GOP fail to see this as a successful venture. Ironically it's what got Bush elected in 2000, was during that election he kept it simple. He also didn't break his neck to go to crazy for re-election in 2004, and it worked.

Despite people's feelings on Bush, they need to follow his example as a candidate, not as a conservative, but just in the basic sense of getting elected.

Palin CANNOT align herself with the Tea Party, and truely think it's gonna give her a snowball's chance in hell in 2012.

The economy is coming back, General Motors is NOT Government Motors, and despite Obama being a complete dumbass on that immigration issue in Arizona, he's standing alot stronger than these polls say.

Romney or Palin in 2012 = Obama getting re-elected. Bank it.

I also want to say in 2004, Bush had ABYSMAL poll numbers, far worse than Obama, and he got re-elected in both the popular & electoral votes. So these polls rarely if ever are right. They also saw the Obama/McCain election as being "close" like Bush/Gore & Bush/Kerry... wrong... Obama won in a landslide, and even won some normally Republican states.

And as for Glenn Beck. He doesn't believe the crap he says. I truely believe he's an entertainer. Beck spews that nonsense, to pander to his traditionally dumbass hardcore conservative audience, who while they're thinking "Beck is speakin' the truth", don't realize he says whatever gets him ratings, keeps him on Fox News, and brings in advertising revenue.

I remember a few weeks ago when Beck said that absurd crap about "right now the country wants social & economic justice... and that leads to dictatorships". Not only is that not true, but social & economic justice almost always leads in anarchy, not dictatorships.

Do you really believe, anybody in the U.S. would allow ANY president to get even a hair's breath of becoming dictator? Not a chance... some wacko would put a bullet in their head before that will EVER happen. I don't have much faith in the American people, but one thing I know is they've got guns, and they know exactly how to use them.

And also these Republicans running for re-election coming up here in November, that truely think running adverts on TV about "we need to reel in government, and tell them they have no place in business" or whatever shit they are saying... if you truely are stupid enough to think that restraints on Big Business by the U.S. gov got this country into the financial mess it's in right now, then you're really out of it.

If anyone needs to be reeled in, it's Business, and more restraints on how much power they have.

It amazes me, there are brokeass poor Republicans out there protesting, so the same big business that keeps the screws on them and keeps them down... they're protesting so they can KEEP doing that. Just blows my mind.

Good read.

Interesting to note that Mark Critz took Pennsylvania tonight in a district that voted for McCain in the last election.
