Love what DJ is playing on the outro lead part here, he plays around Robin's initial melody but makes it all his own, bravo DJ!

They need to completely scrap the thing, and have a Mother Goose synth solo in that section. Throw fake horns, spacey glittery sounds, all kinds of stuff... and just forget that solo.
It can't get any worse.

I can;t tell if your being serious... but!
Nice sounding synths played well are just gorgeous, Im thinking floyd's brain damage and Nails' sunspots.

No I was serious. I think that was the biggest problem with This I Love. It needed to be an orchestra/synth-only driven track.
The guitar in it is redundant and unneccessary. Always had been.
You mentioned Floyd & NIN, good examples... I was thinking of Moby when I made the comment...
