Re: Its really sad only the new members of Gnr are the ones who speak
My point is they are actually touring now, and the two newest members of the band are really the only ones talking, you think by now Axl would be doing more interviews to promote the tour.
Sure he does Tweets but interviews would be nice since most people dont do twitter.
It would be like back in the UYI days Gilby and Matt giving all of the interviews while Axl and Slash were quiet.

I wouldn't criticise Ron, that guy has been nothing but awesome to the fans in his time with the band. Every interview I read that he gives, my hat goes off to him more and more, he is honest and upfront and he is continuing to try and improve himself and his performances just for us.

Plus, Ron did actually play on every song on the album, so that makes him as much a part of the band as anyone else, even if he didn't write any of the songs.

Re: Its really sad only the new members of Gnr are the ones who speak
Let me be clear, I am not totally slagging on Ron for speaking. Its great that he is speaking. My point is the new members of the band are the only voice Guns n roses have right now.
Axl is the only original member and he is not giving interviews but the new members are. This is more of a slag on Axl not Ron. It is a slight dig on DJ because he should not be whoring his products during gnr interviews.
If he sticks to gnr stuff then great all the power do him.
This thread is more of a dig on Axl not speaking.

Actually by 1993, that was quite common to see Gilby & Matt being the primary voices for the band. The difference was Slash & Duff still backed them up.
Axl as always was nowhere to be found.
Axl doesn't speak imo because he hates the media, simple as that. And the only guys he was willing to give interviews to back in the day, like Loder & Norris, are long retired.

Axl was still speaking in 1993 maybe not as much as he did before that, but Slash and Duff were still talking.
Axl just needs to start promoting this thing. He has a good backing band, and the tour is going well, he should be proud of that and speak out.
Re: Its really sad only the new members of Gnr are the ones who speak
There's people out there that would open their arms to Axl to let him promote. Late night shows would be the obvious one, but stay the fuck away from Leno & Letterman, because they control all. Axl needs to hit up guys like Kimmel, Ferguson, Jimmy Fallon.
If VH1 Classic is still doing "That Metal Show" with Eddie Trunk, Axl could go on there as the rock star guest of the week. Ron's done it before.

Even do an interview with Kurt Loder or what he should so is be the first band to do Conan's new show. That would be a ton of exposure. WE all know Fallon would give him a spot when ever he wanted to.
