yes, madagas, we all kind of feel that... and I am just glad I get to see Slash so happy and he has a successful album.. I long for the day axl gets his head out of his ass...  Watch the night train solo and notice slash almost mouth the notes as he plays them, as he feels them, so much passion.

^ I enjoyed these versions with myles. But i don't think there's ever going to be anyone who can hit those notes, with the texture, intensity, pitch and passion Axl does. So i didn't at any stage mean to suggest he's better than Axl.

However, what i found was that live he was surprisingly fun to watch and very much suitiable for VR IMO. In person this gig was just so damn kickass. It's a shame they only booted 10 of the songs too...the setlist was much longer!

Oh I know you weren't implying he was better than Axl.  That would just be plain silly.  16

I do like the fact that Slash is working with a singer who has a range that allows them to play old GNR songs, because it is nice to hear Slash play those songs again with someone besides Fergie.  16

I was driving back from work today and Promise came on, and I got to thinking, it would be fucking amazing if Slash and Cornell did a show or ten together.  I'd LOVE to hear Cornell do PC.

Unfortunately you won't get proshot of that unless it leaks from mtv.

I just went over to my mate's place who IQ'd (aussie version of tivo for cable tv only) the broadcast and watched it.

The mtv broadcast set was just highlights of the gig with interview. Got full versions of

Nightrain
Slither
Nice Boys
Back From Cali
Sweet Child O' Mine
By The Sword
Woman
Paradise City

Which while awesome as hell to have those, is missing so many of the killer tracks from the full live show I saw. But i guess that's the nature of tv.

I'm going to try and make arrangments to get a dub of the broadcast it from him, but getting it off his set top box will be hard, as i'd need to have a standalone dvd burner or hdd recorder to hook up to it i think.
