GUITAR hero Slash made one request when he signed on to a trip to Melbourne to launch rebranded cable TV channel MTV Classic.
He wanted Rose Tattoo frontman Angry Anderson to join him on stage.
"That was one of the provisos of him agreeing to come out apparently," Anderson told music reporter Cameron Adams.
"He wants to catch up, we haven't seen one another in quite a few years, but we connected on a deep and dare I say spiritual level beyond just music."
Slash sent a video message when Anderson was on This Is Your Life, his previous band Guns N'Roses also covered Rose Tattoo's Nice Boys.
He and Angry will perform that track at the MTV Classic launch - an invite-only affair at the Palace Theatre on April 28 that airs on the network on May 1 at 5pm.
"Slash could probably play up to half a dozen Tatts songs which Gunners did back in the day," Anderson said.

It's not the first time they've performed together; Slash stayed in Australia after Guns N'Roses 1993 tour - where Rose Tattoo supported them - jumping on stage at Tatts club shows in Melbourne.
Continuing his enthusiasm for Australian bands, Slash recruited Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale to sing on his solo album Slash, which debuted at No.3 this week.

Stockdale joins Slash show
Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale will put his rock credentials to the test when he performs with Guns 'N' Roses guitarist Slash at the launch of MTV Classic.
The two big-haired musos will team up to play By The Sword, a track they recorded together for Slash's self-titled solo album, at the launch of the new music channel on April 28 in Melbourne.
"I never imagined when I was growing up in suburban Brisbane that I would one day be performing alongside a rock idol," Stockdale said in a statement.
"The whole creative process behind this track has been one of the classic moments of my life."
Slash, who will also perform with Angry Anderson at the Melbourne event, says Stockdale has really impressed him.
"Every vocalist I have chosen to work with is someone I have wanted to work with and I was so impressed by what Andrew delivered. He has one of the purest rock voices out there and I can't wait to rock it out with him in his own country," Slash said.

What I mean is, typically people who collaborate/perform with those guys end up picking sides. Alice Cooper was Axl's boy back in the day, now he seems to only associate with Slash. Baz was with the VR guys, now he only associates with Axl, and so on.
Izzy seems to be the only middle man.

When was Baz with the VR guys? Wasn't it Slash that suggested calling up Alice Cooper for 'The Garden'? WTF are you talking about? Ever hear of Kid Rock & M. Shadows? How much uniformed shit are you going to post in this section? Seriously, nothing you post here is even close to being accurate.

To my knowledge Baz auditioned and jammed with Velvet Revolver prior to scott joining the band. I believe slash turned him down as he felt Sebastian's voice was too distinctively linked to Skid Row, and at the time they were keen to make the band a new entity and not be seen as a reformed GNR band or in that case a new skidrow, and they felt the sound was too similar to be considered fresh. It's a shame as I know sebastian could bring the range and balls out rock that Slash works so well with. So it would have been good, but then I liked Contraband, and Angel Down as they both came out anyway I guess...so no harm done long term.

Yeah, Baz talked about those VR demos as the 'best music ever'. After Slash fired him, he picked changed side and Axl became the new messiah. Baz can sing, but he's an asshole, without a doubt.
BTW Alice was always Slash's (and Duff's) friend.
